floydbloke: "It wasn't real money so I'm not paying it back"
"In which case you didn't actually pay for the house so we'll kick you out and sell it"
GV27: Glad I double checked before I lodged my claim. It's both sides, glass as well.
Someone decided they had a grudge for some reason but were too spineless to talk to you. Any CCTV in the area which may have captured someone in the act or at least walking to/from the direction of your car? Although that last bit may not help if there's a lot of foot traffic in the area.
Just found out my property is going to be the location of a not-too-distant-future arterial route. 😬😡
This feels like the Vogon constructer fleet all over again.

So does that mean you have to move?
Government buys your house for hopefully an acceptable amount? Do they cover relocation costs?

Yes, we think the same with my wife. Parking is tight in that area, and we parked on a residential street, and we think they objected and keyed her car to 'send a message'. Had the desired effect, since she doesn't park there any longer.
This has been the worst year of my life.

Not that I can see. I have no idea of the timeframe and I can't see any cameras covering the street. Just some time yesterday.
It's a standard Mini Cooper S so it has bigger exhaust tips but it's completely stock so I wouldn't have thought it counts as obnoxiously loud. I show up early in the morning so pissed off neighbour perhaps, or could just be bored kids.
I'm on the bulkier side for a Mini driver so cowardice seems likely.

Earmarked for use at some distant point in time or have they given you notice to acquire?
With the way things are heading, a valuation as at today's date might be leave you a lot better off than when they actually decide they need it. But that's to discuss with lawyers etc.

I think a designation has been put on most if not all of the properties on my street.
A notice to acquire has not been lodged.
Today is last day for submissions.

I agree, me too.
