People who don’t turn off the keyboard sounds on their phones then sit in public spaces disturbing the tranquility with the endless clicking.

Mobile phone manufacturers that turn keyboard sounds *on* by default.

Mentioned it before ? Possibly, maybe I meant too but didn't.

Copious swearing in some films. People swear, I swear, but when it feels like someones been told to write a script for a 2 hour film but they've only managed to drag it out for an hour - I know lets make every third word f***, that'll do it.

Add to that - lengthy graphic "love" scenes that give no extra to the story other than some low-brow entertainment at seeing the naughty bits get titillated.

Often you'll find the same movies referenced above will have this, as they are obviously looking to pad the thing out.

Add the pointless chase scene which only leads to official game.

Pod racing scene in ?phantom menace

On love scenes.... if the female stress goes topless let's see the leading mans dangly bits. Titillation for both sexes

Such scenes quite often only being added at the start of a film in the vain hope that people (other people obviously, not you or me), will stick with this lousy movie till the end in the vain hope of more naughty bits (so I'm told, obviously).

Actually think 'that word' should be banned and replaced with 'fork', its already begun, after all...

Agreed. I'm trying to find movies to watch with my kids who are too old for disney pap but too young for 'grumpy pirates vs nude head splatterers 2'.

It can be a challenge.

Could have been good but they missed the opportunity to make the film we all wanted to watch i.e. 'grumpy nazi pirates vs nude zombie head splatterers 2'.

There's two reasons I know of. First it's to increase the age rating. 13-15 years old are a key market, but they won't go to "G" rated films.

So if there's not enough "adult situations" to warrant a "PG-13" rating, they'll spice it up with some pointless cursing.

I still find it disappointing that it's OK for a "G" rated show, such as most adventure films, people get shot, stabbed and even hung from trees. However you'll quickly get a mature rating, if a movie shows consenting married adults caressing with clothes on. You can kill as many people as you want, but you better not f__k 'em.

Second reason for pointless cursing is actors want to act "real." Just search Amazon for "real acting" for bunches of books. So a lot of actors, young and old, mumble and curse to make it more "real." Annoys me to no end.

I wonder if you give them too much credit, but suppose its all about the money (surprisingly).

Still, I guess everyone has different tolerances for different things. I don't have any objections to things like Miss Marple, even though I guess its murder as entertainment, but I would object to Miss Marple saying 'Oh for F***s sake, how can I have missed that clue'. I remember when we watched the US version of The Killing, when whoever started making it, it was friggin' this and that, and as soon as Netflix took over it was f*** this and that. Sure doesn't make the story any better. Its even allowed on Graham Norton or Qi. Yes its for adults (theoretically), fairly late at night, but so pointless. Its look, its a adults show and we're going to prove it. And of course all these naked young women which seems to be compulsory on the slab in any kind of autopsy type series nowadays.

Am I going on too much perhaps.
