Anti vaxxers... not small but very annoying.
Currently some antivax friending the US (they are mostly ok apart from this and topics they think are linked) bemoaning why they have to stay home ... I made the mistake of adding an opinion .. oops, that escalated rapidly!

So, their ability to apply grip tape is about as good as their ability to understand what "essential services" means?

I believe this was ordered pre lockdown.

It was indeed - and was much anticipated...

Why does it matter that they are doing it today?

Just to clarify: Good Friday in Wellington was an absolute belter weather-wise, with pretty much zero wind and clear skies. I know that we all have things to do with our power tools but Good Friday is a special day because everyone is off work, barring some essential workers.

Since the weather was so great any single power tool annoyed a whole suburb. That same power tool used on Sunday (another 'special' day chain saw users could spend with family) wouldn't have annoyed anyoned because the wind was blowing and no one would be sitting in the non-existent sun enjoying the non-existent peace.

Sometimes it's about 'reading the room'.

That doesn't mean what you think it does.

Just because someone doesn't agree with you, doesn't mean they aren't 'reading the room'.

Unless they are breaching a bylaw, then at worst they are being inconsiderate, but many people don't view those "special" days as special, but rather a day off work in which case they can catch up on maintenance and other things which don't usually get done.

No matter when you mow your lawn, or use a chainsaw, it's going to be inconvienient to others.

That's life

It is. But if I did it at the same time my neighbour is mowing his lawn or when he's having a BBQ next door he'd think of me differently in each case.

Consideration goes a long way.

My lawns need mowing.  Weather permitting I intend to commence cutting either at approx. 16:30 Friday or 09:15 Saturday.  Duration will be 30 minutes or thereabouts.  I'll be using  Briggs & Stratton 4-stroke 3.5HP powered mower. Are you OK with that elpenguino?

I assume by weather permitting you''ll be ensuring the wind is above a certain level? There is some risk they might be having a BBQ as well.

As long as you avoid mowing that bit of concrete again. That noise really grinds my gears. And thanks for the suggestion @networkn, bbq for breakfast it is :-)

The fact that if you look at your Kindle content on Amazon's website, you can sort it many ways but for some reason not into "Read" and "Unread"! Doh!

So, I assume that as you think the "I" is not in AI, it doesn't mean Artificial Idiocy?
