nzkiwiman:

I purchased two essential items on Trademe last week; shipped from Auckland on the same day

Courier Post delivered on Monday; Fastway still has the parcel ..

Hah, try living "rural" according to fastway and only fastway. Their tracking will show the item is delivered when it is at a drop point for courier post to then get and deliver to me.

Major leak in the toilet during lockdown... this pipe burst: https://www.bunnings.co.nz/kinetic-water-connector-300mm-standard_p4750080

I'm not going to pay $300 for a plumbing company to do the replacement, but cannot get this connector from Bunnings until we are at level4.

Luckily we have a RAIT (redundant array of independent toilets - another one upstairs :D )

Try calling your local mitre 10. They seem to be more keen to sell things compared to Bunnings and the 6 powertools they call essential.

The numpty who did our Countdown grocery home delivery today and left all of the bags at the letterbox, essentially on the road, as we have no footpath on our side of the street. It was also raining lightly at the time. The two deliverers prior to this have walked the extra 10 metres to the front door and left them there under shelter.

Fortunately we are able-bodied (just immuno-supressed in the case of my other half) and had no issue retrieving the bags, but imagine if it was some 90 year old granny...

That's a bit off of them!

I do find it amusing even before lockdown I would get packages left in the weather (either blistering sun for things that don't like the heat, otherwise pouring with rain) when they had to walk thru my covered carport to get to where they placed it

I have one of these in the carport:

I have a sign by the door saying to leave parcels in the chest in the carport. They have to walk past the chest and the sign to get to the house front door.

They still leave things on the ground outside the front door with nothing over it, getting wet if it rains.

Mr. Cuomo on March 2

“Excuse our arrogance as New Yorkers — I speak for the mayor also on this one — we think we have the best health care system on the planet right here in New York. So, when you’re saying, what happened in other countries versus what happened here, we don’t even think it’s going to be as bad as it was in other countries.”

Sadly wrong and I don't excuse it.

Clicking on one of those images on a site with the expand arrow things in the corner to be taken to a new page with the same image which is the same size surrounded by grey.

CourierPost!

2 x Parcels picked up in Hamilton? from 1Day on the 16th STILL have no update on their tracking info apart from the pickup!

(Coming to Christchurch)

I've had faster service (In normal times) from AliExpress!

Things are sure slow at the moment.

Puts people off spending if you can't actually get the things in a timely manor from when you paid for them.

Untracked AliExpress parcels scheduled for delivery to a closed office during shutdown. I have them sent to work because (usually) there is no reason for non-delivery. I have no idea what is happening with them. Are the delivery services holding them or are they being returned to sender?

What will happen with Level 3? I'm still not expecting the office to be unlocked or anyone to be there.
