Binged The Mist on Netflix over the weekend.

Not amazing, but watchable enough that I kept going to see how it would end. I was expecting it to conclude at episode 10 but instead it leaves it open for a second season.

Will watch the next season if it gets renewed.

The Orville episode 1

Kind of a comedy Star Trek, made by and staring Seth MacFarlane (Family guy, A million Ways to die in the west).

In some respects the trailers spoiled the first episode a little. 8/10 from me.

Narcos S3 on Netflix - still brilliant.

PS: If posting on here, please say where/how you saw it - saves us having to ask, eh.

Watched the first episode of Tin Star this week (it was on TV3 on Monday). Seems like it could be promising. Will keep watching.

The Good Place - 8/10 (Netflix)

Watched this on a recommendation from a blog post entitled "14 shows you shouldn't scroll past in Netflix", and it was a good recommendation.  Starring Kristen Bell and Ted Danson, it's about a woman, Eleanor, who dies and ends up in the "Good Place" where all the most virtuous and deserving people end up.  Eleanor, however, is far from virtuous and deserving, and when she realises that she's in the wrong place sets about trying to cover up the fact that there's been a mistake.

I saw a trailer for this and thought it looked good, then I forgot about until the recent reminder.  It's a fun, reasonably lightweight, comedy with a subtle absurdist twist - thinking giant flying shrimp - with echoes of Douglas Adams.

Looking forward to season 2.

I binge-watched some Westworld on Air NZ recently - that's an amazing series, although I'm probably behind the curve and everyone has already seen this

Not very available in NZ yet :(
