From Stuff today

'The Defence Force has launched an investigation after its plane became stuck mid-air' ...

Would be a strange predicament to have it it was the case

There was apparently a horrific tragedy, but this is wrong on so many levels.

Oh - I think nationality is a factor.  On any given day, I estimate that about 12,000 or more people kick the bucket in the USA.

Many of those will be tragic, some spectacularly so.

Very few would treat it as a priceless photo opportunity.  FFS.  Evelyn Waugh would be turning over in his grave.

Stuff headline last night: 'Boy dies in gas shower'

Fairly promptly altered to 'Boy dies in gas tragedy' after someone clicked about the connotations of the original.

Garner: Why are we so vicious and vile to young Max Key?

My bad. It's my policy to always be vicious and vile to former PM's male offspring. undecided

It's Duncan Garner. Ignore him, don't read the article. Maybe if enough people don't click, they'll stop publishing him

Wow! Play the man not the ball much?
If you did read the article you would see it came from interviewing Max Key on the AM Show (which I can only assume you wouldn't watch). The vitriolic feedback that came into the studio, some of which must have been written before the interview even happened, made it clear the son was being blamed for the 'sins' of the father. For a country that prides itself for giving people a fair go, it was pathetic.
Garner quite rightly called out the haters at the time, and obviously gave him fodder for his article.

I have never followed Max Key at all. I didn't even know he was a musician. But I agree completely that he has absolutely nothing to do with the politics of his father, whether good or bad, and any morons hassling him for that are nothing more than pathetic dickheads. From the article I get the impression that he may have shot himself in the foot a few times and if he did, that could be a basis for legitimate criticism, but I have a sense that the hate he gets goes way beyond that. If the resentful losers put half the energy into making a life for themselves the way John Key did, we would all be a lot better off.

Musician or not, do we genuinely think he would have got all that publicity from the newspapers and radio if his father hadnt been the PM at the time?

Taking selfies with your dad the PM knowing the nz papers will pick it up isnt the actions of someone trying to create an independent profile...

Unnecessary repetition. Like this:

"Eliza Szonert witnessed the incident and told the Herald she was shocked at the driver's actions and surprised no one was hurt.

"I was in shock, to be honest, and I was extremely concerned and nervous. Surprised no one was hurt," she said."

Either the first paragraph should read "Eliza Szonert witnessed the incident and told the Herald:" or the second paragraph should be omitted.

Maybe they just know their readership is so dumb everything has to be repeated twice.
