In Tampa Florida someone apparently tried to get a boa constrictor on a plane as an 'emotional support' animal. Elsewhere, a six year-old shot a teacher during an argument. America is clearly W.T.F. crazy land!

I don't think they are more crazy than Kiwi's we just don't have access to Snakes and Grenades as easily. :)

I've seen and heard stuff in NZ that really makes me wonder....

Seemed pretty much like TERFology to me. Not everyone fits nicely into left/right buckets.

I first had to look up what TERF means. What are all the abbreviations for segregation and exclusion these days? 🤨

  • Qui nihil scit, omnia credere debet. - He who knows nothing must believe everything.
  • Firewalls do NOT stop dragons.
  • Avoid Big Tech!
  • In effect we have everything to hide from someone, and no idea who someone is.

Wait... is he only considering 6yo and not e.g. 5 or 7?? And only considering school shootings?

Toddlers in the U.S. average one shooting per week this year - and that's only counting cases where they shot someone (mostly themselves), not where they just fired a bullet into the ground.

That refers to accidental shootings only. The one I cited did it on purpose. He was trying to blow his teacher away. It gives a whole new meaning to 'six-shooter'.

Today's Aliexpress find, a 6,800 watt car audio amp. This means it'd draw over 500 amps from the battery when running.

Presumably you power it by shining a 3,000,000 lumen LED torch onto a 10kW portable solar panel.

Edited to add: Just noticed it was a Class A/B, so you're looking at more like 800 amps.

Ahh yes the old "peak power output" scam.

The RMS value is what the truth is and that is 120W into a 4 Ohm load per channel , or 480W total RMS.

The specs for it are 120 W RMS / channel. Probably closer to 60 amps draw under full load, not 800.

EDIT: 2 x 25 amp fuses, so probably even a bit less continuous.
