Don't lecture people when you drive 63 on at 50k zone and 118 in a 100 zone. I'm glad i wasn't around you those times, what a danger to the road.

I apologise to everyone...

I am embarassed it took me this long to recognise the troll.

Cheers - N

coffeebaron: Btw, anyone know what H plates are? See these on trucks, so thinking maybe provisional HT license?

H is the newer, longer trailers.. it's a permit for them to be on the road.. most trailers (b-trains) will have an extra axle... it's a length thing as they weren't (3 months ago) actually alloowed to carry any extra weight...

Means nothing about the licence, just that the trailer and tractor unit are certed for heavier loads when introduced...

No, me, my friends and family aren't a perfect driver. But neither are you and those of you that thinks you're much better than Learner drivers. You're not.

Actually I have some good national level motorsports results that would disagree with you.

Here's a hint, when you think one thing, and everyone else thinks something else - maybe it's time to consider you might be wrong.

Cheers - N

Here's a hint for dumb people, when there are divided views between several people in a forum post, it means that not "everyone else" thinks something else and that i do have some support here who shares the same views as me and some don't.

You don't make any sense mate. None at all.

oh and your NATIONAL LEVEL MOTORSPORTS results ? that means you're better than Learner drivers ?

Tell me again the time you got caught doing 63 and 118.......yeah.. that's right.

That was straight from your NATIONAL MOTORSPORTS guidebook.

get real.

And yes i've seen this because effing PARKING SENSOR BEEPED . SO STOP Bsing and saying i don't when you don't have the facts.
[snip]

Precisely what model and year of car were you driving when this happened? In my experience the rear parking sensors only work when the car is in reverse. I could be wrong of course

Cheers- N

I wasn't referring to the people on this thread - I was referring the global wealth of research and stats that you seem to think are less reliable than your few anecdotes.

Why do you think that doing 60 or 63 coming into a 50k zone is actually dangerous? Why do you think that 118 on the canterbury plains on a beautiful summers day in a well maintained car wis actually terribly dangerous? Put it in context.

3 small speeding infractions in about 24 years of driving... Perhaps about 400000km. Your replies are becoming less and less coherent. I don't understand how 3 small infractions (no accidents remember) make me unqualified to challenge your wild statements.

And yes, I'm quite comfortable saying I'm a LOT safer and a better driver than learner drivers. You of course will never believe that. Perhaps after 24 years of accident free driving yourself though, you might see where I'm coming from.

You scare the hell out of me. How long have you been driving anyway?

Cheers - N

same exact one as this i bought a year ago. Lots of that kind sold on Trademe.
My car is of no importance as it's an aftermarket sensor, not from the factory.

If u stil want to know, 1999 Toyota Corolla sedan.

Oh.. Beautiful... Same exact one? Precisely?

I quote from the auction description...

Product Notes

Parking sensor will automatically start when the vehicle is reversing.

Obviously you wouldn't install it incorrectly as that would be a huge huge danger!!!

no mate, YOU scare the hell out of me. You probably drive one of those massive V8 cars.

oh 63 in 50 and 118 in 100 is not dangerous ? ok , keep doing it then  why don't you Laughing
The COPS obviously thought it was, no other reason they ticketed you.
the people who decided the speed limit thought so, otherwise they wouldn't have put that sign on.

Are you seriously that dumb ? look at the picture. put on your glasses if need be.
NO connection to the gearbox whatsoever.
OF COURSEEEEEEEEEEee it would start AUTOMATICALLY when it's in reverse....IT'S ALREADY ONNNN, NO NEED TO START.
THE FRONT AND BACK SENSOR IS ON ALL THE TIME, TO WARN YOU OF OBSTACLES, NOT JUST CARS.
READ THE DESCRIPTION SON.

Very smart there mate. Fail.
Try again.

He did 63 in 50 ....63-50 = 13 kmh

118-100= 18 kmh

yea the cops regularly do 5-6 above.
so do i 55 in 50.

but 18  and 13 ?   your sarcasm fails sir.

I'm many things, but dumb? That's not one of them.

You're right of course, there's no connection to the gearbox - usually they take the signal from the reverse light.
