Will Joe feel aggrieved and at a loss financially?
I have not followed every aspect of this case from the very beginning but my impression is that Joe was the only person who believed in Bain's innocence early on and that he went out of his way to support and aid Bain over many years in a quest for justice at no small personal cost to himself. He didn't have to do any of it. He didn't have to stick with Bain through all those years. If I was Bain I would be kissing his feet for the rest of my life. I would imagine Joe must feel pleased for his friend that things worked out as well as they did, maybe sorry he didn't get everything he deserved. I wish I had friends like that. How many of us would be that loyal? I think Joe is entitled to the greatest possible respect and admiration, nothing less.
