Good grief, the site's terrible. I just did a search for a game. Two identical results appeared, and I had to click into both, then expand the "specifications" box, just to find which was for PlayStation and which was for Xbox.

Then, when I actually tried to order it, there's a field marked "Enter your phone number for SMS delivery notifications". I don't need such a thing. "This field is required."

Edit: And it forgot my postal address. Then it rejected it, because it doesn't like the auto-filled macron in it. And then it took me to a blank white page.

Edit 2: They sent me a survey, but I can't "legitimately" respond to it because "speed of delivery" is flagged as a required question. The game doesn't come out until next year, so should I give it a 1?

I tried to order an item that was listed as a MA product and in stock.

After I selected the product, but before I finalised the order, I noticed that delivery was to be expected Jan 1.

I queried MA, and they did respond a couple of days later.

Most apologetic, it's not a MA product and it isn't in stock with the supplier either.

Can't trust anything on that website any more.

They've now removed price matching from their site. I have $100 of credit with them, and went to buy a switch.  It's $40 cheaper at PBTech so I attempted to price match, and found it missing. When searching for it, I found this: https://help.mightyape.co.nz/hc/en-nz/articles/10936738180751-Do-You-Offer-Price-Matches

RIP Mightyape. My how the mighty have fallen.

Also, placing a new order has subscribed me to their mailing list.

I have cancelled my Primate subscription (or, rather, have changed it to quarterly because it's unclear whether cancelling it outright will immediately rescind it - at least changing it to cheaper means I'm not losing as much if I forget to cancel on the day).

I've challenged unwanted subscriptions before when they fail to notify. I can't remember off the top of my head, but there's some guideline or law that states there must be reasonable notification given to a customer before a subscription auto-renews. My bank once helped me with this when an overseas company charged me for a subscription I wasn't interested in without fair warning.

I got a birthday coupon from them in 2024, so yes, they should do.

They have removed the option to apply coupons at checkout, no sign of them coming back

Wow you're right. They were still sending me coupons late in the year so this must be very recent. That's unfortunate.

They claim the referral system is coming back as well. I doubt it.
