wellygary:

+over the last 20 years the number of things you own that need to be powered has simply exploded....

This place, built in the 1970s, has single outlets in many rooms, occasionally double. For example in the living room there's a single wall outlet behind the couch for the reading lamp and a double for the TV and possibly something else at the other end. That's all.

Several of the redone rooms now have double sets of 4-way outlets on more than one wall.

To young kids after a day of school 🚸

Why are your pants so dirty?

Why didn't you finish your lunch?

Where's X (inset any item that's missing)?

How can you tell the difference between Italian trains on strike and not on strike?

(In either case they're running somewhat erratically and frequently late, but still running.  I think they may have actually been more on time during the strike).

Would more people use trains in Auckland if they, you know, actually ran?

Do I really need a new phone?

Do I really need a new smart watch?

Do I really need to even ask?

And today's outage.  Should probably go somewhere in the annoy thread or politics forum, but just following up on yesterday's post.
