Loismustdye: Well after reading all the good things said about the nespresso machines, I went to Norman Ross and got the pixie with aeroccino for $376. Can't wait to open it up and get my coffee on.

We were originally going to buy a Citiz and Milk Nespresso machine from Noel Leeming (for $460), but they couldn't find any, despite their computer saying they had 3 in stock. We went to another NL store which supposedly had one in stock. They didn't, but we got a $105 discount on the Lattissima Plus. I can't believe how easy it is to create Cappuccino with this sucker!

It depends, but the ones I buy are $0.83 each. Prices haven't changed in a couple of years.

Where do you get your pods from at that price? The cheapest on the nespresso site are $0.97 NZ.
Or is there a 3rd aprty manufacturrer out there under cutting them?

Guy at the Noel Leemings store insisted they are $2 each. Was miffed when I said no way I'd be buying from him then lol

Im probably gonna order these to test out, worth a shot for roughly $28 ish NZ as an alternative for when I run out of pods.

As an aside, the pixie is awesome, drop in the pod and 40 seconds later i have an espresso, I am a very happy chappy.
I also bought the delonghi latte dual walled cups and the smaller espresso cups for $40 and $20 respectively for 2 cups. Quite happy with them as well, I'm thinking this pixie is going to be my new Bestie for a wee while.

i had a flat white at the nespresso shop in newmarket, and it was really good. i would love to go and but the milk frothing machine on its own... much better than the aerated ones that push the milk through the tube, it had a really nice creamy consistency

I'll have to investigate and get back to you. You do have complete control over the level of froth with our machine though. You can program it to the level you want, and it will remember that for all subsequent cups you brew. There is also a dial on the frother to give further control, but I'm yet to investigate exactly what that controls.

Keeps sounding better and better...

Anyone know if you have the same control with one of those Areocinos things? I realise they don't mix the coffee for you but if a Citiz is significantly cheaper then that will do me as long as the froth control is up to scratch.

Oh also does anyone know the capacity of the frothed milk? I do not like half cups. I'm a "tall" guy from Esquires

Ouch - the Pixie with Aeroccino was only $393 (before $50 cashback!) at my local Harvey Normans (Manager Special). So ultimately it will only cost me $343 :o :)

If you're asking me it was Norman Ross palmy.
Harvey Norman was 388 on the shelves. I walked out of Noel palmy after being ignored for 10 minutes, but they didn't have a special price on the pixie.

Harvey Normans Ashburton. They got sent 30 of them, so I think the manager cut the price so that he'd get them sold.

So I've been reading this thread since it started and yesterday decided to replace my aging Saeco Via Venezia with a shiny new Nespresso Pixie and Aeroccino from Harvey Norman.

I'm very pleased with it. Now just trying out the different coffee blends.
