gzt: First episode of Electric Dreams. Phillip K Dick. Dystopia. Telepaths work alongside cops. Big sets, lots of extras. The title sequence is great. First episode has a going nowhere feeling. Not pleasant either. Available on Lightbox.

Loved the first two episodes. It has the feel of the 50's & 60's TV show "The Twilight Zone".

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

MindHunter  on Netflix.  Just binge watched over the last 3 days, only 10 episodes.  Not a crime thriller action series but a great story based on real life fact about establishing a behavioral studies dept within the FBI in the early days.  Great sound track as well.

The Marvel spinoff series on Netflix , working my way towards Marvel Defenders but I only realised I'm watching it back to front instead of in chronological order so I'll list them in the order I've watched them.

Iron Fist - 5/10 - started off strong, fell to wayside fast

Luke Cage - 6/10 - as with Iron Fist, felt rushed with no real plot that goes anywhere.

Jessica Jones - Currently watching - Not much better then the above, the villain is better

Daredevil- I started this last year, I liked what I saw from the first few episodes but with other series coming out at the time it got shelved. Will go back after I finish Jessica Jones.

I don't know why I'm doing this to myself these miniseries seem to be just above average at times, I'm too deep to turn back now. I'd say if there ain't much on then give it a nudge, you may like it.

Special mention:

Designated Survivor: season one - 8/10 - was a good watch, kept me enthralled for the most part, currently on season two which so far is a slow burner.

I found this show just went downhill after season 2.

just watched mindhunter, enjoyed it a lot. Though you have to consider it a 10 hour movie with intermissions as the ends credits come in completely unexpected places simply because the hour is up.

Edit: also season 2 of travelers has started and it has been excellent in the first two episodes

I'd go along with that.  Have just finished S3, about to start on S4.  Like the concept, but yeah, it's all over the place.

Stranger things season 2, slow start but made up for it in the last few episodes. Gotta love Netflix original series ~ binge binge binge

Ghost wars: 2017 sci fi,mystery. Reminds me of haven, small town vs supernatural invasion. Several episodes through season 1 and looks promising

Stranger things season 2 -  good but not great. Character development and acting was better than season 1 but it needed a bit of humour and a lot more adventure from the younger cast

Star Trek Discovery Ep7 -  I enjoyed watching all the previous 6 episodes but this was felt like a filler to me.

^ This

I liked how the monsters were more visible. Some characters have more explanations. But not as many adventures as Season 1.

^I won't spoil, but I was a bit disappointed with the momentum of Season 2.  It was ramping up awesomely until episode 7 which pumped the brakes way too much, completely took away from the payoff of episodes 8 and 9.  If the story from episode 7 had happened earlier, maybe episode 3 or 4, it would have felt a lot better.   In saying that I didn't mind episode 7 at all, it was a good story, just came at the wrong time for me.

American Horror Story Season 6  - 7.5/10

A real blood fest this time but still manages to be different from the earlier seasons.

Seeing as you asked, just checked out Ripping Yarns on DVD. Still great stuff 40 (?) years later especially for the overgrown kids amongst us...

A British show called Naked Attraction on TV2. Well that was a bit of an eyeful!
