This is not small but I didn't know where else to put it. This sort of ignorance and stupidity really pisses me off. Disabled folk have enough barriers and issues to deal with without ignorant dickheads doing stuff like this. The driver, his/her trainer supervisor should be fired for this. This type of crap happens a lot on wellington buses and it has to stop. I have experienced there disregard for disabled myself and it is very distressing.

And, interestingly enough, poodles are regarded as one of the smartest dog breeds.

Minor annoyance of the day.

Customer Service teams that don't like to provide customer service

That is a fairly large proportion of them then..!

Customer Service Training

Rule 1: If in doubt, say "Yeah, nah. Sorry about that" then sigh and say "Is there anything else I can help you with today?"

Note - should the customer respond with "Well, you have not helped me with my first issue yet!" see Rule 1 above and repeat.

When people say "[insert name] need(s) to [insert verb]".

What they really mean is "I want [insert noun] to [insert verb]"

Be honest, and a reason wouldn't hurt either.

Yep, lost count of how many things "John Key needs" to do while he was PM

Booking movie tickets online and they charge you a booking fee, buy when buying from the box office from a person who they are having to pay a salary, there is no fee.

It really perplexes me that they look to penalise customers for using a sales channel that has an overall lower cost to operate. No doubt some bean counters insisted on the fee as part of a business case to recoup the system develop costs or some other false economy.

Yeah 100%. Same when they used to accept cash in parking meters but charge a surchage to take electronic payment.

Things that annoy me: The fact that the tiny (on a mobile device) area you need to hit to move to the next page of this thread is right next to the comparatively huge 'Unwatch topic' button.

'Convenience fees' for using a payment gateway that will feed money into their system with all the information needed to automatically reconcile any payment I make.

Yes, I don't have to go to a store, but you don't have to have one for me to go either. Funny how I don't get to charge a 'processing fee' at my hourly rate for the time spent paying your bill and incurring your fee, even though I've basically used a system that creates no extra work for you whatsoever and vastly streamlines things at your end.

As a funny aside (and in the "fairly embarrassing" category), my eldest granddaughter has severe cerebral palsy and requires a wheelchair and associated disability parks, so I am fairly sensitive to people parking there without the appropriate mobility permit - and once gave a driver a bollocking in the local supermarket carpark for being in a disability space. He apologised, but then I realised he was in the park next door - oops 🙄

In a similar vein:

"Our costs have gone up. We have held fees for as long as possible but now we must pass them on, so there will be a 15% increase in your [insert provider name of service you cannot do without here] bill from next month. Sorry about that."

💡

"Dear Boss. My costs have gone up 15% so from next month, I will be looking forward to a 15% increase in my salary."

"Dear Client. I know you think we are expensive already - but our costs just went up 15% so our fees will be doing the same next month."

Eva888: In your part of the world bargaining is de rigueur but it's catching on fast here too. I got so many calls and texts with crazy offers The worst part for me was the uneasiness of having pushy strangers coming to view the car at my home. Big mistake and felt unsafe. It was a real learning curve for a first timer and for me, letting a dealer have the hassle far outweighs the anxiety I felt.

I ended up selling in a week for a reasonable price to a very nice young family. They got a nice car in very good nick.

I am no longer annoyed and actually very pleased.
