When you open the Remote Desktop Connection app on a pinned connection in Windows 10 it opens, the cursor sits there flashing in the password box, but you have to actively click on the field before you can start typing.  Simple things but annoys me every time.

geoffwnz:

Multiple random calls from mobile numbers that nearly match my own (thus triggering my scam radar).  Talked to one who offered a complete review of my insurances but "was not selling anything".  Got hung up on after the second time ignoring my statement of "I'm good thanks".

I have an app called Hiya on my phone which checks incoming calls against a database. It doesn't catch everything, but it'll put e.g. "Slingshot", "Sky TV", or a red icon with "Scam" when appropriate.

I seem to fully miss out on the scam calls, quite boring actually.
Father in law fell into one a while back and his phone number goes beserk.

The fact it won website of the year is more annoying to me. Shows how bad they all are if the herald wins it.

wouldnt surprise me - master builders house of the year awards depend on how many expensive dinner seats the building company purchases for the awards night

I’m annoyed with openhost.co.nz. They took over from webbase where I have been happily (after initial setup) having my website and email forwarding for years. Last year things broke after they changed the dns settings from Webbase to openhost without any notification. They had sent a notification earlier about how the change would break their automatic bill and I’d need to update that, which I did in plenty of time, but forgot to tell people about the dns change.

Today I discover the website is down and no emails are being forwarded to my gmail. I tried using their contact form after a very annoying captcha and had it reject the mandatory fields containing my name and email address (gmail). I also saw they don’t offer support on weekends, public holidays or evenings.

Does your dog sleep in there? Blameworthy.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
