freitasm: Whatever you do, attacking the idea is fine. But defacing his Wikipedia page with name calling is just stupid.

Whoever has done that is an idiot.

Looks like wikipedia have blocked the IP address.

Satch: I honestly don't believe I have ever seen Gareth Morgan say anything positive.

Yes. I agree.

If I had that much money, I'd be on my private island letting the rest of y'all get on with whatever nonsense took your fancy secure in the knowledge that it would be pretty unlikely to ever bother me whilst I planned which country I would visit next by private jet or plane....

Where's the +1 thumbs up button!

A lot of very rich people crave fame.

An equal number (probably a greater number, actually) crave anonymity. I'd use my money to make sure I was wiped from the grid!

Sam Morgan just tweeted:

My Dad is in China. They eat cats in China. Not suggesting anything. Just saying.

At least he has a sense of humour about it

I wish my cats would take on the damn wood pidgions. Stupid noisy things land on the roof with a thump, hoot away all the time and seem to get the other noisy birds all rarked up at 5am.

The only gifts I ever get bought in are half dead blackbirds that are still well enough to fly around and crap over the place or else lizards or giant outdoor cockroaches. That is in addition to the rat or 2 a week that get left outside for me.

Birds are a noisy pain in the city. They shyte on my car, make noise at unhealthy hours of the morning and dont serve any useful purpose. Cats do.

Geektastic: This just lost his (former) company 2 kiwisaver accounts.

Personally cats are far more interesting to me than birds. If the birds are too dumb to fly, then they will follow the Dodo and birds that are smart will prevail. That's life.

I did mine today. Been meaning to since he sold out to kiwibank which I really want nothing to do with.

When I was filling out the ASB form to transfer it I put "gareth morgan - cat hater" as my old provider.

Me too. I was comfortable with the Kiwibank takeover but was too lazy to change until now.

They may or may not kill that many.

Fact is, I dont care. I am in a city, where city things belong. Not native birds.

For sure regulate them in places where the 20 football fields a cat goes would cover native bird sanctuaries, but lay off the urban cats.

Vibe or ICONZ. The IP seems to belong to a company that provides some infrastructure to both (and another one, I can't remember which now).

Really have to say I am not that bothered. Cats kill birds everywhere in the world - we are not special. Some of our birds are dumb and live on the ground. They will die out eventually except on islands and so on - and many of them are pretty dull, to be honest.

To those who complain about the pigeons - I am assuming these are normal grey flying rats - an air rifle works well!  I used to go pigeon shooting on arable farms back in the UK - great sport.

Brilliant! I will put the same.

Interesting to see a vein of unpopularity for Kiwibank. Personally the folksy parochialism of it annoys me a lot.

Moved mine out ages ago. Annoyed with how kiwibank favoured cusomters they lend to, over people who want a good savings rate. Kiwibanks savings rates used to be some of the best, now they are very poor compared to other banks. Other banks aren't much better, but at least TSB have good customer service. But kiwibank maybe one of the safest banks, as I can't see any government not bailing them out if they have a problem.
