The satellite receiver the DTVS Smart 1 would be replacing is a Sky (Motorola) and the reason "I'm getting sick of paying for free TV on Sky". What excites me about the device is the mouse/keyboard remote. PVR, media player and intermet on android looks cool. My current setup:

This device would be great to replace..... nothing. We have a tv sitting in the dining room with no receiver at the moment. I would love to add this to get some tv reception and recording going.

This would replace a DishTV box. Would like to try out the browser (amongst all the other functions) using the keyboard (have a TV and Bluray player, both with usb ports, neither take a keyboard....)

Cumbersome ht laptop!

This will make everything much easier since its a dedicated TV unit target than a computer pretending to be set top box

This unit would be replacing the inbuilt freeview on our Samsung.  The remote supplied with the unit having a qwerty keyboard on the back is just icing on the cake.

Cheers and thanks for the chance to win one of these.

Love to replacing my aging S1 TiVo, and the inevitable copy, burn, "sneaker net" when it dies ...

This would replace my Sky decoder, which I recently cancelled, and enable me to record again as my HDD was only analog.  I'm very excited about turning my TV into a smart TV using the android PC capabilities.

People asked me to post the winners - I have set them as "Answers" to this topic, so anyone clicking the answer button would see them.

Anyway, the winners were ozki and Athlonite... Those prizes were already delivered.

Thank you. Is that the way we members need to view winners to any Geekzone competitions, by clicking on the "View Answer" button?

Well done ozki and Athlonite! Enjoy the new toys!

It would be good to just have a post at the end to let everyone know that the competition had been drawn and won. I didn't think to use the answer button before I saw the new posts at the end.

Even a standard post like:

This competition is now closed. Click the "View Answer" button to check out the winners.

Cheers, Matt.

Congrats to the winners!
