We went down to the Nespresso store in Newmarket today. Excellent service, and they have a tasting bar at the back, so you can try the different blends.

We walked away with 110 capsules for $111, some helpful advice, and a complimentary packet of pastries/biscuits.

MackinNZ: So I've been reading this thread since it started and yesterday decided to replace my aging Saeco Via Venezia with a shiny new Nespresso Pixie and Aeroccino from Harvey Norman.

I'm very pleased with it.  Now just trying out the different coffee blends.

how did you rate the nespresso versus the saeco via venezia?  i have the saeco and it does a pretty good job on the coffee, especially if you keep it serviced well

I haven't been very good at keeping my Saeco serviced and it was in need of service now.  One of the things I like about the Nespresso is that it's so simple and servicing is minimal.

As for the taste of the coffee compared to the Saeco, I'm very impressed with the Nespresso so far.  I particularly like the Arpeggio blend.

Nespresso is releasing new machines next month (at least in the US). They look good, with a steam wand now!

Steam wand is a big step up for these machines, will be interested to see how the wands perform.

I have a steam wand on my current machine, but I covet one of those aeroccinos. The aeroccino makes pretty damn decent milk for very little effort!

Nice! I wonder how many capsules one had to purchase to get one of those. We've only been Nespresso owners since Jan, but we've still managed to consume over 300 capsules :-)

I have had a couple of Nespresso machines and order around 100 capsules a month... For the last four or five years ;)
