Behodar: This doesn't actually annoy me, but I do wonder when the local Countdown is going to get around to changing to the "new" apple-peel logo...

Perhaps they're worried they're one of the six that Woolworth's are going to close, so thinking it might not be worth spending money on a facelift.

Our mall has 2 countdowns. Right opposite each other.

They should be forced to shut one down and let a competitor have it, as they have a monopoly on the local area.

Supermarkets are notorious for trying to shut competitors out of a market.

Websites which have multiple page forms but don't tell you if you are on the last confirmation page.

Amazon are good -- they have a little 'disclaimer' next to the 'go/submit/continue' button that tells you that you are not on the final page and can still cancel out.

Snap/2degrees website is particularly bad. I wanted to see how much to change my plan, but they don't tell you if pressing the 'continue' button on the first couple of forms commits you or not.   I was too scared to press it again in case it kicked off a plan change.

Eftpos terminals that are not secured properly for credit cards with smart chips.

So, when you push in the CC the terminal bounces up and you need to use your other hand to secure the terminal.

Very small thing.

I only have a problem with vertical videos when people re-size them for desktop and add content to the sides of them. They fit nicely on my vertical monitor if crap like that has not been done to it. Worst is adding blurry crap to the sides, like some people used to insist on doing when pillarboxing 4:3 content. Lamest reason ever given by someone in the broadcast world was they were worried about viewers getting screen burn.

"You're so cool Patrice. We're so cool". Really weird tv ad. Something about cord cutting?

When you have a medical appointment at a time specified by them and you're still sitting in the waiting room 30 minutes later.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

People who fail to indicate with the close second being someone who fails to merge/peal off. Had an idiot who, on the Petone off ramp (onto the highway between the Hutt Valley and Wellington) in a blue BWM obviously seeing I can't over take him on my scooter - did he pull back so then he could peal out from behind me? no. Did he try to speed up as I slowed down to allow him to merge? no. Gah, so many idiots on the road.

I used to go regularly to a GP where I would arrange the first appointment of the day to try to avoid this problem. However after three visits he had turned up 20-30 minutes late each time and there was no 'sorry I'm late'.

I was pretty pissed off and after the third time I had it out with him. First asked him if there was any special reason he was late - no. I said this has happened three times without comment/apology, that I thought it was high-handed and arrogant, I'm a professional person too and my time is money too, did he think his time was more important than mine, etc. Politely gave him both barrels at close range. He was a bit taken aback, apologised and said many people had told him his timekeeping was sh*t. Said he would try to improve.

I took the view that if you don't say something, nothing will change. Felt slightly bad afterward because apart from this he was a very nice guy.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

It's a small annoyance if you die because a GP assumed that the symptoms you presented with were as innocent as they are 99.xxx % of the time, but it just wasn't your (or the GP's) lucky day, exacerbated by the fact he'd been bolloxed and put in his place by a patient he'd kept waiting 20 minutes who had "more important things to do".

Endless use of the word "like".

Recently overheard: "I was, like, you know and then, like, yeah."

Not even a sentence and makes the speaker sound like a vacuous idiot.
