Yes, but did it have to be the 'little' Covid-19 against whom he was able to support the NHS so successfully? I think the Grim Reaper could have announced himself differently.

For me, this man is beyond doubt in his intentions and deeds and is a role model far beyond the borders of his homeland.

Role model overseas including Barbados apparently.

Here we are essentially no cases sealed borders then there's the uk, rampant disease and people gallivanting all over the world.

I don't care what experts say, I wouldn't want to fly my frail elderly relative around the world in current situation.

That depends on the circumstances that we don't know. In addition, older, frail relatives have free will that shouldn't be ignored. After all, centenarians have proven that they have done many things right in their lives that cannot be said of some, far younger ones.

Anyone who has made an extraordinary contribution to society can also receive extraordinary things from society. I am sure that he did not beg for the trip, but that someone gave him a heartfelt wish and they did not want to wait with the gift. Any day could have been his last day. I indulge him with all my heart.

The age of mobile phones has given us a lifeline here - "my battery is about to die" or "I'm driving into a tunnel."
If that isn't feasible, just hang up when you're in the middle of a sentence, so it doesn't look as rude.

Is there any other matters to discuss?

I generally dont take a phone call unless I first know why its happening and the outcomes for it. Just like a meeting. Too many people intrude with the telephone with no purpose for the intrusion.

... and I think the answer to that depends on your religious beliefs...

No, that would only alter whether you thought anyone had won. It wouldn’t actually demonstrate that anyone had.

I read an old article that New Plymouth is windier than Wellington. I can confirm it's probably true.

Yesterday the max wind in New Plymouth was 100 KPH, and in Wellington 85. Throughout the day New Plymouth was about 20 KPH windier at the same time.

However New Plymouth doesn't have Wellington large office buildings which funnel the air, and can literally knock you off your feet.

Geektastic: It wouldn’t actually demonstrate that anyone had.

I can show you a very popular book, containing different accounts reportedly from eye-witnesses that state someone did.  Again, its up to individual belief as to whether or not you accept that book as "gospel"* ;-)

I can show you millions of Americans who absolutely believe that someone named 'Q' knows the truth. That don't make it so.
