That does not excuse it or make ok. Anti religious behaviour is wrong. Freedom of religion is a human right.

People have a right to be stupid in any way they like. They don't have a right to make others suffer from their stupidity.

Exactly. If folks are Christian, Atheist, Muslim, Hebrew etc it is their right to be so without discrimination, harassment.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

I think religious behaviour is probably responsible for at least as much intolerance as anti-religious behaviour.

What if that religion is preaching intolerance?  Do you allow it because "freedom of religion" or to you crack down on it because "intolerance should not be tolerated"?

Freedom of religion is exactly the same as freedom of speech.  That freedom does not absolve anyone of consequences from their actions.

Right. We are free to gather in large numbers in Auckland and spread the virus despite public health measures because we are practising our religion! Never mind that others die and the economy collapses as a result. We are just exercising our religious freedom!

Intolerance either way leads to disaster. Example, St Bartholomew Day massacre, Norway, Christchurch etc. I don’t believe in door to door preaching or vice versa

You don't have to believe in a religion and there is no excuse for prejudice and anti religious activity. Tolerance to anti religious behaviour has resulted in disasters throughout history

I dont see why it is treated special compared to any other entertainment medium. You dont see sports stadiums or kareoke bars operating tax free, but have a singalong venue that happens to sing about jesus and its special.

I don’t support churches across the board tax free status. If they are doing social services like disability support then tax deduction cold be made by the church based on the value of that work. It is also important to not confuse the Church Corporate with individual belief.

I think you will find out most anti-religious behaviour was anchored in racism.

Northern Ireland is the obvious exception.

My own theory is that religion is a justification for exerting power over others. Racism is a motivation.

Just to be clear, I am not attacking individual belief. I am attacking claims to exceptionalism because of that belief. Anybody has the right to believe anything they like. They do not have a right to demand special treatment because of what they believe. That is where my intolerance kicks in.

Here is a small annoyance that is genuinely annoying: A desktop I have recently acquired emits a low, barely audible throbbing sound from the CPU fan. At first I don't hear it at all. Over time it gradually seeps into my consciousness. After awhile I get a headache and my blood pressure rises. It is like Chinese water torture, barely noticeable at first, but continuously accumulating. I have checked the fan and it is solidly bolted to the heat sink. No obvious loose bits or points of vibration. It is like the entire computer case is acting as a driver. Is there anything to do about this?

If you are the space put in a larger fan that spins a lot slower. Check for dust in and around the fan.

Which fan have you checked? There are likely to be several... CPU, Power Supply, Graphics card, Case can all have fans.

As someone else said, clean them, and their associated heatsinks and vents and filters.

If that doesn't work, drop the whole case in an aquarium full of oil.
