Being *THIS CLOSE* to finishing a presentation, then realising there's a fundamental flaw that you've overlooked. Needs to be rethought, redone.

Just grab the one you've already done, use a thesaurus (and/or your knowledge of obscure technical jargon) to substitute words for others that sound most impressive, adjust to make sure any charts displayed have the plot tilting upward if you're responsible for the trend, tilting downward if it's a competitor's trend, practice delivering it with an authoritative tone, and be prepared for spontaneous applause and a possible promotion.
Alternatively, if you you don't think you'll get away with that, say you've got a sore throat, runny nose, and body aches, you haven't had a test yet, but will be going for one straight after you deliver the presentation.

Yeah I am probably more down with option 2 😄

Would you be the best of the best if you accepted 60-80% average salary?
- NET: FTTH, OPNsense, 10G backbone, GWN APs, ipPBX
- SRV: 12 RU HA server cluster, 0.1 PB storage on premise
- IoT: thread, zigbee, tasmota, BidCoS, LoRa, WX suite, IR

Tinkerisk:I'd venture you're more likely to be the rest of the rest...not the best of the rest and certainly not the best of the best.

The anti Auckland thing is an interesting sentiment. I have spent about half my life in Auckland now, but it's very pronounced down South. Not in an unpleasant way, but it's there. I was away last week for work and asked a hotel manager about the three day lock down we just had, their booked occupancy went from 100% to 10% overnight for that week, it's just a sledgehammer. I don't know how many are in Auckland now, but it's a big part of NZ now. Whether that's a good or bad thing I don't know. But I get tired of the house talk, just move away etc. Yes I could move but it would mean a substantial pay cut, if I could find a job.
After the Christchurch Quakes, we were back to OneNZ. I am from Christchurch, and was probably guilty of being Anti Auckland, but I have now lived in AKL for more time than I was in CHCH. CHCH will always be home.
I can see the NI v SI thing is back now, which is a shame. It's a pity we can't just stick with the OneNZ thing post quakes, it was a much nicer country like that.
The anti-Australian thing is even worse. Typical insecure yokelism.
Rikkitic:Here is a small annoyance that is genuinely annoying: A desktop I have recently acquired emits a low, barely audible throbbing sound from the CPU fan. At first I don't hear it at all. Over time it gradually seeps into my consciousness. After awhile I get a headache and my blood pressure rises. It is like Chinese water torture, barely noticeable at first, but continuously accumulating. I have checked the fan and it is solidly bolted to the heat sink. No obvious loose bits or points of vibration. It is like the entire computer case is acting as a driver. Is there anything to do about this?
Sounds like the fan is vibrating something in the computer at its resonant frequency. Cheap solution: Isolate the fan, e.g. with silicone grommets. More expensive solution: Change the fan/heatsink combo.
Today's annoyance: Online shopping experience with a retailer that I haven't shopped with before.
Ordered a tramping pack online - didn't want to pay a fortune, so ordered a "last year's model" type of deal from a retailer that is located at an outlet mall in Auckland.
Receive an email overnight, "Your billing address does not match the records that the bank has on file". Um...I've lived here for over 20 years and have been with the same bank, who also hold the mortgage over the property. Never changed my billing address and I shop online often. Never had this issue.
Reconfirmed my address. Assume it'll still be rejected, for some ungodly reason.

maybe the Pack took a hike. Their way of saying no stock without admitting no stock.

I'm curious about this, and may be one of the banking experts on here can comment.
My impression is that pretty much any form of payment for online purchases (credit-card, on-line banking, even poli) gets processed on the spot, or is this address reconciliation something that takes place when a c/card payment shows as pending ?..........or maybe the seller is talking poppycock as MikeB4 has suggested.
Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Thanks but I found a brilliant solution on-line. The fan is actually very slightly unbalanced and that is creating a tiny oscillation that gets amplified through connecting components. I removed the mounting bolts and mounted it with zip ties. The silence is deafening!
Plesse igmore amd axxept applogies in adbance fir anu typos

Also the matching is as fuzzy as humanly possible so the banks don't lose a cut of a sale over a typo in a form somewhere. Even an approximately-correct name and address should go through OK.
