Waking in the middle of the night, looking at the ceiling to see a massive white tail spider pretty much immediately above me, drop down onto the bed. It's dead. Glad I woke up. Not sure what caused that particular set of events to occur exactly then.

It's the 5th Whitetail we have seen inside our house in the past month!

We see a white tail once a month around winter. But a couple of weeks ago I was watching TV in the lounge when something caught my eye, running across the floor. Got a glass and jumped on it. Not a white tail but it was not happy, bouncing inside the glass so much that was actually noisy - you could hear it bumping into the glass. Let it go outside in the grass.

Did the glass break? 🤣

Nope, but if I waited another 30 seconds it could and then I wouldn't be here writing about it.

You are nicer than me, everything except our cats and humans in our house ends when I find it.

Couple of monster Coachroaches too recently. I probably could have saddled the last one and plowed a field.

We kill the whitetails. Everything else goes to the garden. Even house spiders, although once we saw a house spider eating a fly and another time a spider eating a moth. We (parents) would keep the small house spiders inside but our daughter dislikes all spiders, any size or type...

Journeyman:

When all-day breakfast only goes until 2pm 😡

Ah - but does it mean ‘available all day’ or ‘it’ll sustain you all day’?

When you Ask for Better, and Chorus tell you it will be better by March 2021, but now it's April 2021 and there are still no signs of it getting better.

There’s a cafe in the UK that sells a kid’s breakfast.

It’s not called that because it’s meant for kids. It’s because it weighs the same as a newborn.

Having been bitten by a redback once (once = too many times x 1), I'm not sure that's universally true.  It depends...

That on Good Friday when almost everything else is not allowed to open, the Chinese Consulate in Christchurch IS OPEN, making our narrow Street as busy as any weekday!

And as usual, idiots driving up the new Cycleway (Hansons Lane Parking Lot!), or parking in it!
