The UK series Humans has started back up with Season 3 starting to air. Loved the first two seasons and this season is already looking bloody fantastic.

Looks interesting! What/where are you watching this from/through?

Through a program called Sonarr which gets new episodes via Usenet.

@FineWine Pip Torrens is incredible in Preacher... very out of character role for him.  Hard to recognise him!

Watched the Series Finale 2 Episodes of The Middle. Sad when a series you have watched for 9 years ends. They did a good job of wrapping it up.

Nooooo. Really? I missed that. I really liked that program.

Watched the last episode of "Fresh off the boat" Season 4 (episode 19) over the weekend.

Quite enjoy this program - its pretty light and makes me laugh occasionally.

Was very surprised with one thing they did in that episode - considering how few people would have got what they were doing....

The grandmother character is played by an actress called Lucille Soong. In the program she never speaks english but only ever chinese. I had looked up the Fresh off the boat series a year or 2 back and looked at the cast details etc and saw that she had worked in the UK in the 60s. Her wikipedia page said that she appeared in one episiode of The Prisoner as well as a story arc on Coronation Street around 1969, playing the (chinese) girlfriend (shock horror!) of Billy Walker - he was Annie Walker's (Rovers Return snobby landlandy's) son. You have to be of a certain age to remember the old original Coronation Street - it was a while ago now back in the black and white days - also to be in a country that played Coronation Street.

Anyway - on Fresh off the Boat, the grandmother wants to move out because they arent paying her enough attention, so they decide to make an apartment for her in the garage and get 'that special tv soap channel' that she likes so much. So we see the TV in the backgound with a grainy black and white program - Whats that? Annie Walker looking shocked and horrified being introduced to a young chinese girl!

Just a couple of seconds - with another few seconds near the end of the program - but they would have had to get old archive footage from the UK. Wonder how many people realised what it was referring to.

Great little story - I love things like that - appeals to my sense of .... well, something - dunno really. Detail?

Brilliant of you to pick up on it.

Perhaps I’m attracted to this particular story because I very clearly remember Coro in NZ from the early ‘60s.

Watching Season 2 of Travellers on NZ Netflix. Episode 11 Season 2.

Thoroughly enjoyoing this series, and would recommend it, even if you don't like the vaguely Sci-Fi nature of it.

Characters are well developed, plots are good (although a little repetitive) and it feels almost like it was created by the team from The Blacklist - it has a similar style, in my eyes.

American Gods Season 1 8/10

Interesting fantasy/thriller based on the novel by Neil Gaiman. A war is about to break out in America between the gods of the old world and the gods of the new.

Neverwhere 7/10

Another Neil Gaiman effort produced by the BBC in 1996. Fantasy again, this time set in a world beneath London. As it's from the BBC and has a few special effects it's a bit 'Doctor Whoish' but quite interesting nevertheless.

Westworld Season 1 8/10

Wasn't expecting much from this but it proved me wrong. Highly entertaining. Apparently season 2 might be a bit of let down.

We started watching this two weeks ago and it's exquisite.

Two episodes a night mean both series are done and dusted in quick time though :(

Britannia  Amazon Video.  Gave it a 5  If you want an historically accurate  program about the Romans arriving in Britannia then this is not the one for you. Have only watched the pilot so far.

Watched this recently on Soho.  It'll keep you entertained for a season.  Whether you become interested enough for S2 remains to be seen - feels a bit derivative after a while.

American Gods did enough for S2 to get a green light for 2019.

And I enjoyed Westworld S2 - I'd give S1 a 9/10 (visual effects and storyline development).  S2 has some very unexpected turns, so much so that it had me anticipating the next ep.  My wife ditched S2 on gratuitous violence grounds - unpalatable.

Up to season 3 of Humans. It's OK I guess, a poor mans Westworld imo, there's some similar themes, 5/10.

Season two of Westworld, very much enjoyed it, 9/10, the show is incredibly polished.

The last season of 12 Monkeys. Really enjoyed it, especially the finale which was fantastic, 9/10.

Killing Eve, my mrs enjoyed this more than me, got a bit silly in the end imo but wasn't too bad. 7/10.

The UK version of The Office recently, it was excellent 10/10.

Watched all of The Fall recently, was good, slow story though 7.5/10.

Currently waiting for new episodes of:

Vikings 8/10

Rick and Morty 10/10

Wentworth - new season recently kicked off 7.5/10.

Nathan For you - pretty dry but funny 7/10.

Black Mirror 9/10.

Stranger Things 10/10

Silicon Valley 8/10

Better Call Saul 8.5/10

The Man In The High Castle 8.5/10

Luther 9/10

Chris Lilley's new netflix show

Other (not super popular) finished shows I'd recommend:

Bates Motel 7.5/10

Freaks and Geeks 8/10

Happy Valley 8.5/10

Taboo 8/10

The leftovers 8.5/10

The Killing - first two seasons are especially good 9/10

The Missing 8/10

The Night Manager 7.5/10

The Night Of 7.5/10

Currently watching Vietnam by Ken Burns. 8+/10

He's done a number of very interesting historical documentaries.

It's on both Sky History and Netflix.

Watching on Netflix so is higher quality image and no ads.

(Documentaries on American Civil War, Prohibition, WW1 also very good)
