How Florida legally terrorized gay students

The hidden history of a Florida witch hunt.

Starting in the 1950s, a Florida state committee spent years stalking, intimidating, and outing hundreds of LGBTQ people. And they got away with it. Amid a national witch hunt for communists and an ascendant civil rights movement, a group of Florida politicians with a mission to preserve racial segregation in the state created a powerful group called the Florida Legislative Investigation Committee.

This NASA video from the 1970's shows what its plans then looked like for space colonization, including large torus type space colonies.

I checked our Simpson dishwasher when we got home and see that it has the pre-wash chamber, so last night I put some powder in it.

We were given a pack of detergent cubes to try. There are only two left, so we will probably go back to powder? I'm not the purchase manager, so have limited input!

I might try not rinsing the plates before putting them in the machine, but will probably still give the pots and cooking dishes etc a quick swish around to remove the worst gunk.

There are a few interesting videos on that channel;

We have been using the cheap finish tablets from the warehouse - Finish Classic 110's | The Warehouse

$65 for 440, so a pretty good deal, but we always had to rinse - porridge, egg, cooked on cheese.

After watching that video got a 2kg of powder and added some to pre-rinse dispenser. Still using the tabs in the dispenser.

Holy ****, even converted my wife who to my mind basically washed the dishes before loading the dishwasher.

She's stopped rinsing anything. Makes a massive difference. 100% recommended.

The 1st dishwasher I owned was a late 80s F&P that came with instructions to throw some extra powder in the bottom of the machine for problem dishes. The current Bosch reuses the rinse water unless it is extra soupy so a tablet in the basket gets a headstart.

Why Isn't New Zealand a Part of Australia?

History Matters

It might seem odd to ask why New Zealand is an independent nation but in the late nineteenth century, its inclusion in Australia was seen as a certainty. Yet, as you'll know, it never joined the Commonwealth of Australia. But why? To find out watch this short and simple animated documentary.

Interesting, but I need to raise a point of order.  The graphic of New Zealand next to the UK shows NZ smaller than it is.  To be fair, until recently I thought that the two countries were about the same size, but this website put me straight.  It lets you overlay one county over other countries, and corrects the Mercator projection size error.  You can rotate your selected country with the widget in the lower left corner.
