Seeing my 15-year-old son celebrate his birthday yesterday by making the most of it.

He had planned a fairly large gathering, so instead went on House Party and did a lengthy video chat over a few sessions with his friends and schoolmates.

He's a good lad and despite the very frustrating things he does as a teenager, he makes me proud daily.

Binge watched Funny As (NZ comedy documentary series) on demand over the last couple of nights.

So good and did make me miss home a bit.

Getting my Flu vaccination sitting in our car in the medical centre car park. Strange but comforting.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

I got mine yesterday, had to wait in the car, but they did it in the clinic. Didn't touch anything and took it standing up so I didn't sit on a surface. I don't love needles so I was slightly concerned but the nurse is a seasoned professional, and all the stuff she has poked me with in the last couple of years I haven't felt at all. (I was going to call her an old pro, but thought that sounded slightly sketchy lol)

@networkn my GP did my shot as he wanted to have a chat with me. He suggested that with all the injections I give myself that I could have done this one myself, he was joking of course. Injections don'y bother me at all

Honestly, I am surprised in some ways they are doing it in cars. It's a pretty confined space.

Our medical practice was all but desserted.

It'd be kind of difficult if they had to jab you in the buttocks - but wouldn't they just do it from outside the car - with your arm half out the window?

My GP had a mask, gloves and a gown on. They were doing others in the centre but he said he did not want to expose me to more risk which I really appreciate.
