A window with a blank title bar popped up and asked for my password. Naturally I closed it without entering anything. Now Outlook isn't able to get new email.

How hard is it to put a caption on the password request so you know what's going on?

Edit: And now Teams isn't working either. "We ran into an issue." Are you going to tell me what the issue is, so I have a hope of troubleshooting it?

Outlook - trying to set a meeting for a specific time - in this case 11.05am to finish at 12.30pm

Outlook wants to end it at 12.25, or 12.35 but not at 12.30. I change to 12.30 and the start time changes to 11.00. That's not what I wanted - change the start time to 11.05 and the end time changes again! Gaaahhhh!!!

When you make a misjudgement on time and distance on the road, and end up having to take an evasive manoeuvre and cutting someone off.

Doesn't happen very often, but man I wish I had a sorry light on the back to let them know I am aware I made a dumb.

Eva888: FitsWatch is Safe & Secure Guaranteed! You'll pay nothing if unauthorized charges are made to your credit card as a result of shopping at FitsWatch*

Crooks clearly displaying their intentions.

Oh come on, be reasonable. They said "if", not "when".

Apropos this... I have decided that *only* crooks advertise on Facebook. Or maybe there's something about my profile that says I might be a good target for crooks' ads. Because I don't see any ads there that are in any way credible. I guess FB's algorithm has misjudged me.

FB's algorithm has stamped you with 'SUCKER'. Whether it has misjudged you is another matter.

I am not forgetful, though I am often looking for something I put down somewhere. I know I have it, but not where it is exactly, more a matter of where I left it in the house, or car. Occasionally though, there will be something I don't use much, I'll take with me somewhere, and then I don't have that inkling of where it is, and there is that moment of cold sweat when you worry you might have left it somewhere for real, and not get it back.

If you drove a BMW you could wire it up easily - splice it in to the indicator light circuit, and take the bulbs out.

I do, but, unlike the mythological BMW driver, I need my indicators, to indicate :)

Lol - I guess us non-bm drivers use them as 'please' lights instead.

When your burglar alarm starts blaring at 3:17am.  Poor us and poor neighbours.

(It wasn't armed, showed a tamper alarm.  Talking to mate who installed it, it looks/sounds like the outside unit has finally succumbed to the elements after 24 years.)

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

I'm waiting for our alarm to do the same.

At the moment, we go through a back-up battery once every couple of years - and it beeps (usually starting around 11pm) and beeps every few minutes to kindly let us know until we get a new battery installed. You can pause the beeping for about an hour, but then it starts again...sleepless nights then ensue, if we are unable to get a new battery installed immediately.

We haven't yet had a siren go off...that will no doubt be next, as our alarm is around 30 years old

Yeah, me too. It’s called advancing age. 😁

Companies failing at simple database queries.

"As a Tower Motor Policy customer..." says the email they just sent me. I'm not. I have my house with them, but the car's never been with Tower.
