Yeah, the problem is they give ones with PO Box addresses to nz couriers or aramex who either call you to get another address or take a few days to put a PO Box courier ticket on them and pass them on.

And to the house they half the time end up with zero effort NZ post postal service who abandon things at the road side. Can't win either way.

Last week I bought something off Trademe, seller booked thru TM's book a a courier system,

Standard delivery to my PO Box.

Like a zillion times before we got notice that pickup was requested, got a tracking number etc.

Then tracking went dead,

Seller confirms parcel was picked up,

Parcel arrives a week later, somewhere along the way NZ Post assigned a new tracking number without telling anyone,

And made the parcel signature required, meaning two trips to opposite ends of town to retrieve.

Just what I needed at this time of year

:)

CourierPost have been good for us years. We have a great local courier. The only annoyance is if you set email alerts in the app it often forgets that setting and you have to set it again, but not a big deal.

Another Courier Post story.

TM item addressed to street address,

Tracking shows item delivered and signed for (by the courier) - and a photo of my parcel on next door's doorstep !

Continuing the comedy... the same driver successfully delivered another item to me on the same day but had no knowledge of the above item even though both were in his van.

No Xmas bonus for this guy !

😆

^Sounds like the new driver in my area! Had packages delivered for my neighbour, number 3 (I'm #13) and 13 the next street over.

Same driver for the last 12 months now,

Usually OK except for the occasional dump and run, used to be able to hear his van but 6 months ago he got a swish new Hyundai Staria van.

Silent as  :P

This one is a bit of a head scratcher.

According to the tracking:

24th December had a parcel sent to me from Sydney Australia to New Zealand

1st January it arrived in NZ

2nd January It arrived in the UK

5th January it was delivered to someone in the UK

Where is my parcel? God only knows

This is the real kicker contact Australia Post and they say need to contact New Zealand Post, contact New Zealand Post and they say need to contact Australia Post.

And around and around in circles we go.

Re-use of tracking number?

Do both companies' tracking tools show the same data?

Needed some dress-up outfits for a themed party so off to Temu we go. From China to the door in ten days despite spanning the new year and a picking delay for non stock items. The final leg from AKL to home by NZPost took 2 days.
Amazing really.

We have an update, another scan saying international arrival awaiting clearance at 8:35pm 8th Jan which I assume is UK time so 9:35am NZ time 9th Jan which fits as there was no update when I was home for lunch at 9am.

No update on the NZ Post website but I assume there will be no update there until it clears NZ customs and is received into the NZ Post system.

There is hope I may still receive it.

How bizarre. It almost looks like the same tracking number has been assigned to two different packages, one heading to the UK and one to NZ.

Check with the vendor,

They've independently got your address and should be able to see where it was sent, ,, but it does sound like some sort of mislabelling and a UK bound package got tagged to your order....

🤔round & round we go ...

I know I requested a redirection to another city with the supplier on the day of order, but then it goes round in circles at Mt Roskill? No wonder they complain about not making a profit.
