miamiheatfan:
blakamin: No, because no matter where and when I drove, I took responsibility, kept my eyes open and wasn't a moron.

I have kids...

and not every truck driver, fork driver, digger operator, drives only on highways.

Time to get your full, and grow up.. or just hand in your licence. You really think some crappy gadget is better than being aware of your surroundings? Especially some self-installed POS from Taiwan?

lol, again, how about...no? Cool .?
hand in my license ? LOL
and having kids make you an adult ?

Why don't you have your kids see how daddy talks on this forum. Go on, let them see. now or in the future when they can read well.

anyone can back into a small kid playing in the driveway OR a kid? that walks into your driveway while you're getting into your car.

YOU CANNOT SEE A 4 YEAR OLD KID SITTING DOWN 50 CM AWAY FROM YOUR EXHAUST PIPE.

smarten up dude.

WTF are you on about? Being an adult makes me an adult.

"How daddy talks" here is the same as anywhere. They read quite well, thank you.

So you need a home-fitted sensor to keep the local 4 y/o from running into your drive? I suggest a better neighbourhood... or a gate.. or reverse up your drive when you get home.. or walk around your car.. or open your eyes..

If you can't afford afford your full licence, fair enough.. if you don't want it because of the cost, lmfao...

I really can't be bothered.. I've finished my popcorn, as have others, and decided your sideshow wasn't worth the time.

Good luck for the future.. and keep clear of unattended driveways!

Edit: Mr heatpump... the whole convo was off-topic... you took it there, but since you started it, we figured that it was fine.

On topic. Give every bell-end that doesn't get their full after they're elligble a fine every month, and a big R plate, just so we know who the uninsured are!

Cheers

G'night

And while we're on about reading... look at your restricted... it's "licence" in nz....

miamiheatfan: Wow seriously , what is this BS the government is thinking of implementing ?

Why don't they also implement an 'F' plate for full licenses so every car on the road in NZ will have a stupid yellow plate sticking on their rear window .....

seriously.
We're not Australia, stop copying.

the funny thing is.. most of the people i see with subpar driving ability are in their 30s-40s, of foreign decent.

Maybe more frequent compulsory driving tests for people on their full licence will have more of a effect.

Its too easy for people to just age discriminate.

Talkie: I admire your patience and level headed communication. I was trying to make those same points, but nowhere near as eloquently, and then I suddenly realized I'd rather sleep than communicate at that level with him.

I haven't seen that level of nonsense in a while I must say.

I find that crap hanging from the mirror or a hat on the parcel tray or someone driving a Nissan march are better indications of poor driving than any plate on the car ever could.

If they are doing plates I think one for foreigner driving here as a tourist would be a better idea too. They seem to have no idea how to merge properly.

Agree 100%.

I would add "Baby on Board" signs as being a near 100% indicator of a poor and unpredictable driver.

On the vehicle type front people mover cars, especially if second hand Japanese import ones, are also pretty much a sure sign of incompetence or a chronic dawdler.

I think he just needs to sleep for a few days. Wow, if he is that irrational on an internet forum, imagine the road rage...

I have deleted the previous post. It was just the OP who registered with another name. Instead of waiting for the cooldown period and come back ok, now his account is permanently banned.

Ha, nice one. It was getting a little carried away. It did seem he was spinning his wheels a bit because no-one was really biting and he was like an angry dog.

vexxxboy: seriously are you that petty that you wouldnt take 2 seconds just to pull over and let people get on with there life, lifes to short and there are to many nutters out there to piss someone off by being in the right.

In a residential street? Let's say I take your advice and pull over and allow all speeders pass on the way to work. I would still be in my street and not at work.

It's not about being right or petty, a law is in place for a reason. How would you feel if you killed a person, perhaps a child?

The amount of people that don't slow down for school zones is astounding.

Stop signs is another one, nobody follows that rule.

Roundabouts, the number of people that don't know the indication rule for Roundabouts is mind boggling.

Running the amber light, stop unless you cannot safely do so. It doesn't mean let's speed up we'll make it.

Add to this the number of people that run red's, not just private vehicles but buses are a big offender.

The number of people that' don't know what flashing amber lights mean, the intersection goes into chaos. Just amazes me.

People are wrapped up in their own world safe in their metal cocoon (which the are not) and not thinking of others, and even the possibility that they too could end up dead.

How about this as another angle to look at driving, don't you take pride in doing things well? I know this is a rare trait these days.

You make another valid point, there are "nutters" out there. Some even get violent. Which goes into another topic, the lack of respect people show towards each other.

Times have changed a lot in New Zealand. Common sense, respect and family values are hard to come by.

Anyway I've promised myself to avoid these topics as they usually spiral out of control and become flame wars and this has gone off topic.
