Just watched Mr Brooks. What a load of pointless rubbish.

Burn After Reading: OMG what drivvle!  How can you follow-up No Country for Old Men with this?!? Two hours I'll never get back :(

Beowulf: Watched this on Blu-ray and it was just as pretty as on the big screen last year.  This is a great film well worth the time.

Ice Age 2: Another Blu-ray. This really cracked me up.  I'm no fan of Ray Romano or his comedy, but the writing and animation in this were very well done indeed.

Planet Earth: This isn't strictly a movie but had to be mentioned.  I got it on Blu-ray for my birthday and just started watching the other day.  Every episode just blows my mind - I've never seen the world in this light before, and OMG there are so many bizzare alien like places I didn't even know existed. This is totally the way to show off your HD setup if you have one!

Agreed, one of the classics....along with Groundhog Day...which is the best comedy ever made.  Period.

Not strictly in the movies category, but I have to second that. And there`s sooo many great nature doco series readily available, most of them produced for the BBC. I especially enjoy the ones with David Attenborough. The life of Mammals, Life in the undergrowth, Living planet, Blue Planet, a lot of fascinating stuff.

Eh, I thought it was mildly good. Totally different type of movie to No Country. I just really liked how it's about NOTHING. A bunch of idiots made a big deal out of absolute zero, and the way that was executed on film was, to me, brilliantly funny.  Pitt played the naive & clueless gym instructor perfetly.

Yeah I gotta see that.  Nearly rented it the other day.

Is that the one Attenburough got grief from Christians for not acknowleding the brilliance of the Almighty? (LOL @ THAT!!!!!)

We watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall last night, and it was a bit better than I thought it would be. Quite enjoyable. Be warned: some rude sexual jokes in there.

I really enjoyed that too!  Typical Apatow movie though.  Similar also to Zack and Miri Make a Porno

Diary of the dead: i finished watching this with a few mates and thought that this is a pretty good movie. its set like cloverfield were it POV all the way through, which works for the movie. i have to admit their are some pretty good quotes like "lets hope this place aint like that hospitial". the scene that made me love this movie is were a armish guy got attcked by the zombie and to kill him he put a scythe through his head to kill the zombie behind him

geekiegeek: Joy Division - documentary film on (funnily enough) Joy Division.

Great film with interviews of all the key players in the life of this great band. also has some great archival footage of live performances. If you liked Control then you will probably enjoy this to.

Caught that the other day. Very good.

Like any really pioneering style of music, they didn't know what they were doing at the time was going to be so important. Naively creating something truely atmospheric and amazing.

Secret Window: based on Secret Window Secret Garden by Stephen King, about a writer who heads to his secluded home in the woods of small-town America (sounds very "The Shining" already, but it's quite different).  I've seen it before, and found it to be a bit predictable from quite early in.  But if you don't look too deep and you're not one to figure out these thriller/twist type movies easily then you'll probably enjoy it.  Johnny Depp is great in his role, and John Turturro is outstanding as usual.  Worth a look I reckon!
