Eva888: Is there a rule in the Universe that states drains will always block after 6.30 pm on a Friday before a weekend?

Mr Murphy has a lot to answer for.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Yep, that's 178B, next to 178A which says that email and/or server outages always happen at 5:05pm on Friday just after the IT folks knock off for the week.

That the crossbow that was carefully sighted in earlier this year has now drifted sufficiently that two bolts went nowhere near a possum dead centre in the scope sight, grrr.

Desperate double emphasis was required after no response from multiple calls to plumber, coincidence...I think not.

From somewhere closer to the Middle Kingdom I think.

Or that a major water leak in the backyard required a plumber callout last Sunday. Not even our pipe in the end. Undocumented water pipe to a rear property dropped into sewer trench (for which there is a noted easement) some 50 years ago.

The big sucky truck came and cleared out the drains but found that neighbours roots have pushed the pipes out of alignment so now they need to dig up the lawn to replace the pipe...which is exactly next to the concreted post holding up the top floor deck (laws of Murphy and the Universe again). Therefore an acrow prop and possibly prayers will be required plus an exorbitant sum of money.

That‘s ok. It would not be ok with the modern hunting crossbows (like those from the mentioned company).

I didn't really want to spend a small fortune on something to deal with what's basically destructive vermin, I have it not for the hunting but because the several possum traps I've tried are almost completely useless, the only way the Trapinator could ever kill a possum is if you tied it down and bashed it repeatedly with it, they seem to avoid the Goodnature entirely, and I don't want to set a Timms for fear of catching a non-possum in it.

If I was going to spend that much, I'd get a Cobra Adder RX, which seems like just the thing for possums.

Aren't Trapinator and Timms essentially the same? Over 10 years of setting a Timms baited with apple I've caught 10 possum and 1 hedgehog. None of the neighbouring cats show any interest.

No, completely different product. The first thing a friend of mine caught in his Timms was a bird... in theory it'll be fine but I don't want to risk an unintended victim.

I know they're different but both work with a bar that whacks the possum's neck into the tapering keyhole opening.
