Netflix calling a price rise an update. Please just call it what it is

We hope you’re enjoying everything Netflix has to offer. We’re updating our prices to bring you more great entertainment. Your monthly price will change to NZD18.49 on 26 December, 2021.

This update will allow us to deliver even more value for your membership – with stories that lift you up, move you or simply make your day a little better

This encouraged me to "update" my monthly price to $0.  Had been meaning to jettison the subscription for a while and this was sufficient incentive to do so.
Hadn't really been watching enough to make it worthwhile.

Things that annoy me this week. Computer specs mysteries. I'd just like to know how to work out where the log jam in a system is.

My partner uses an HP laptop of some kind. We have maxed out the RAM but it's pretty slow. She works on it several times a day. Her work consists of perhaps six to half a dozen Chrome tabs. I'm beginning to think that Chrome is a bit of a resource hog. But it's painful watching her Shift Tab and the delay.

My machine works perfectly. But it's an XPS 15 which I use for photo and video. My work laptop is an HP Elitebook and really only uses Outlook, Excel and three Chrome tabs and it's fine.

Argh.

So they're not even movies or TV programmes any more; now they're "stories". Sheesh.

Ha. Well I compare everything to rendering 4K video, it's the only time I ever hear my laptop fans. I usually click go before I go to bed to let it do it's thing.

Some numpty at Vodafone forgetting to run a copy of running to startup yet again.

Downer then incorrectly re-patching a router. So they’re going to have to go back on site, put the cable back in its correct position with Vodafone again reconfiguring the router. Maybe this time they’ll do the config copy.

When a School with a perfectly good "Bus Bay" but no Regular Buses any more loads / unloads private cars on the Yellow Lines  on an S-Bend outside the Bay!

And the (Identified himself as such!) Principal is one of the people doing it!

Then you are assaulted for taking a photo in a public place (On the Footpath) showing their illegal behavior as they attempt to take your phone!

No-one cares:

Obviously NOT the School!

NOT the MOE!

NOT the CCC!

And NO point calling the Police!

No wonder the Parent don't care either! - The School sets the example!

Apps with tiny scroll bars. For example, there's an online version of Word, and its scroll bars are half the width of the desktop version.

The thing I find frustrating with Netflix (aside from the excess of woke BS in everything) is that I find myself waiting months for new seasons of things I like and being left with only things I have already seen, so I have to subscribe to a couple of other things to fill in the gaps with decent content..!

No it's so the affected stakeholders can understand the difference between an international travel document and a domestic one.

Why does there need to be a difference? Could the international one not have functioned domestically to save hassle?
