EviLClouD: Not really small but super annoying.
When you sell something on Facebook marketplace and agree on a price. Then when you meet up the other person tries to negotiate the price and eventually ends up not buying it. What a waste of time

Very annoying. Facebook can be more convenient than Trademe as there's no success fee and it's easier for people to contact you directly, but with no feedback requirement you get more time wasters and people not following through with payment or just not turning up when you've arranged a pickup time etc.

That the Road Works Sign has still not been picked up - so I definitely know it's not worth my time calling the Contractor ever again!

Search for weed eater at Mitre10, get 175 possibilities, all connected with, you know, weed eaters. Search for weed eater at Bunnings, get 215 results, starting with dozens of weed sprays, weed killers. A few weed eaters show up on page 4.

Search for line trimmer at Bunnings, get 171 results that do start with actual, dare I say weed eaters. Search for line trimmer at Mitre10, get 12 results, all of which are petrol...

Could it, just possibly, be me. There's no pleasing some people 😁

I think if I get one or two more letters from the Heart Foundation then they'll have spent my entire donation on spamming me instead of actually using the money the way they advertised.

Likewise the SPCA.

Mitre10 205 first page weed sprays

Bunnings 215 first page week sprays

Pretty (un)impressive really...

What? They've finally fixed their search? It used to be if you searched for something like weed eaters you'd get as your result: galvanised coach bolts, pool cleaner, sandpaper, dressed 2x4, off-white floor tiles, and PVA glue. As far as I could tell they just selected a hundred or so random results from their database and hoped that at least one of them was close to what you were after.

I'm so used to searching M10 using google with site:.mitre10.co.nz that I hadn't even noticed the actual M10 search now seems to work.

Yeah I gave up searching for specific things and used the best guess at department sections and product sub-sections to do a manual search on their site.

Glad to hear it's now working!

Work pressure.

A the year comes to a close, the pressure is building to an almost unsustainable level.

Between projects, changes and BAU, this is becoming the most stressful pre-Christmas period I have ever experienced.

I'm on the verge of simply downing tools and walking out.

Last year I ended up on doctor-approved stress leave for a week and a half. That was nice, although I'm not sure that the rest of my team appreciated it!

This doesn't so much annoy me as make me sad: The fact that every single time I want to use Zoomy, I get told there's none available, so I have to give my money to the crooks that run Uber instead. I'd really like to support the local guys, and someone vastly less unethical than Uber, but I can't.

When you get a non-sensical reply from the CCC!

We had Parking Restrictions put in the Street for the School Buses in the morning and afternoon. The School has NOT had any buses for over 2 years!

All the parents etc totally ignore then anyway. They are NEVER enforced (Hardly ever) and the CCC answer about removing the signs is:

"We are looking at extending the Restricted time to ease the congestion"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What good is that if it is NEVER enforced now!
