Anyone here using a Rockgas LPG card or another similar card from a different supplier?

I just purchased an LPG kit for my Range Rover (4.6 V8 very thirsty!) and the installer told me if I get one of these cards you get a significant discount over the pump price of LPG.

I have been looking into putting lpg into one of my vehicles and also wondered how much you could say with one of these rockgas cards, also how much you could save when all is said and done over petrol, also how much did your install cost just out of interest?

Haven't done the install yet, just got a 2nd hand kit off trademe. I think the overall price using the card depends on how much you spend per month.

The admin person at the installers showed me one of their last fuel stops, 60 litres for $59 exc gst.

I had one. They were great as one could buy fuel - swipe card at pump and not need to go wait in line inside.

Also one can buy fuel 24 hours even when PETROL station is shut.

One gets billed for the fuel monthly, so one can go on a long trip without needing the money on hand at that moment.

They also print car licence plate number on card for added layer of security.

The fuel discount depends on usage, it has various tiers, I never quite managed to get into that next level. When LPG was $1.42, I was paying $1.28. Savings increase with more use, but cant remember how much.

LPG car's exhaust smells good in my opinion, and its amazing how clean the oil stays. After 5000km is still almost like its just been changed. My car was dedicated LPG and had 435000km on the clock. One gets LESS km/L for LPG over petrol, so my straight 6 2.4L would get ~6 km/L around town, and ~8 km/L open road. Obviously range is shorter too.

She also said there was going to be a big push shortly of LPG as the supplies are plentiful, probably coming from Aussie. She said the pumP prices are due to be lowered to be more in line with the prices paid by card holders.
