So I am off work with an injury and while off, my MIL is here. She got me to look at her laptop because it was running slow and out of space. When out of the blue she asked me "How much space does Facebook take up on my computer?"

If I wasn't sore, I would have died laughing.

I'm finding that any flash based games on fb are seriously slowing down anything but modern spec'd systems. They really hammer even dual core processors.

They try playing these games on machines that have only about 500mb RAM. Processors that are dinosaurs, then "Help, why is it so slow?" 98% of time is fb games.

Well. they often sit at home all day playing Words with friends, Scrabble, Draw Silly Pictures or anything else devised by bloated Zyanga.

That kind of hardware should be more than enough for what most people use their computers for. The fault belongs to bloated, inefficient software that would fly on a Pentium from 1993 if it was programmed properly.
