Anyone tried the KFC chicken pie?

I tried one today... it was slightly burnt and I noticed the guy next to me was also eating a slightly more burnt pie than I was.

Out of ten I rated it a 8.5 (just the burnt pastry was a bit concerning).

Simply a chicken pie with a hint of that classic KFC gravy taste.

Next time I know to let it cool down a bit !

What are they charging for these things?

$4.50! They better be top shelf at that price. I can go get a gourmet pie for that price.

Incidentally they were sold out when I wandered past Kent Tce KFC about 2pm.

Sold out when I went...
Apparently they sold their allocated 180 pies in 5 hours.
They are budgeting on 180 per week, so I guess it's a good launch.

I'd give it a 9/10 in terms of chicken pies

Not really my favourite, but very good! Think I'll do another zinger double down next visit though

I would write a review, but I don't know if anyone has the stomach for 20,000 word reviews on chicken pies.

I don't think that the marketing was very good with this pie. I only found out about this a few hours ago, none of my friends were talking about it, unlike the double down when that came out.

It's coming back later this year, I wonder if they have Zinger pies?  Can't hurt to ask

Or I might ask them to top my pie with bacon, didn't order the new Kit kat crusher though :( will also have to make that a priority next visit

@ChosenOmen I dunno, seemed pretty good to me.  All sold out in most stores, I was lucky to get one of the last ones at around 3.30pm.  MOst of it was word of mouth/Facebook advertising

If I had burnt pastry, I would get it replaced. Pretty keen to try it, but I'll let things calm down first.

Are they doing this because McDonalds are going to bring back Georgie Pie?
