A feature of this kind will become native to Chrome OS / Chrome and promoted as a feature of such instead.

+1 is still doing ok I think.

Yeah this annoys the hell out of me as I use igoogle every day.  I guess I have some time to find an alternative but it still sucks.

I cried a little when i read it this morning. It has been my homepage for the last 5 odd years. I don't know what ill do! Its got everything i need on the one page, i had a look at the chrome app store, as far as i can tell the igoogle functionality isn't possible yet.

Surely they'll have a replacement, or as gzt suggests, it'll be native functionality. Any other path would be madness, as it's a very strong point of difference, and will remove one of the compelling reasons to use Chrome.

I find it annoying anyway.

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Annoying? having all your news/sports headlines, emails, other handy widgets such as currency conversion all on one page without having to visit each site individually... yep sounds pretty annoying to me too.

Hopefully someone steps up and releases a clone before its departure

I used to use it, but had forgotton all about it. NZcity is sort of like it, but it is crusty and old.

I have played with some addons that replicate Opera's speed dial, and that can be handy, but still no match for iGoogle
