Look the same as one on ebay and dx for hald the price, just wondering if the firstin one has a legit NZ plug and molded in approval number as would be needed to get them test and tagged, since a couple would be nice to have at work to make the wifi go a little furthur.

The pic is no help as its just a stock photo, but as the devices have changable ends on DX (with only a US and EU plug available) its not outside the realm of possibility that firstin have sourced some with a legit NZ end.

Virtually everything they sell is end-of-line oddball imported stuff that generally comes with an adaptor plug, so I wouldn't bet on it. Their "ERP" prices tend to be fairly creative too. They do tend to respond to queries about things on the site though.

At least if it's got the parallel American pins you can bend them to the right angle and have them fit. Not that I recommend doing this at all.... #idoitallthetime

Wouldn't recommend doing that either. Also I would expect i would void any insurance on the house, if it caused a fire. You can buy adapters pretty cheaply for discount stores.

Yeah wouldnt do that, and a travel plug isnt suitable to get an item tagged as being "safe" to meet the insurance requirements for use in a workplace with all that test and tag BS they make you do.

On top of that, it's not legal for them to sell it in NZ without an NZ plug anyway. So I'd say it'll have one, and if it doesn't then you have grounds to return it (and no, an adapter is NOT ok).

Hasn't stopped them doing it frequently in the past. I suspect given the hassle of returning things to FirstIn, most people would just deal with it. I've only had to once, and to be fair, it was the suppliers\reconditioners fault, not theirs.

Yeah and it would be going on my prepaid card since my other is sitting at the limit till its due date, so a charge back is a nightmare if they do stuff me around. think I will pass as a legit one from a real shop isn't much more money.
