Looking forward to it.

Let's hope Sky "forgets" to switch Prime back to SD.

On the up side, BBC is one of those producers that fights piracy by very nearly simulcasting their big name shows across the world.  New Zealand was actually getting episodes before the US during series 5 and part of series 6.

Woot.

The big robots look a lot like the Mondoshawan from 5th Element.

Will they still have the silly lightning noises in the theme music... Probably :(

Just got back from a trip to England and my family and I were so excited about the chance of going to the new Dr Who exhibition in Cardiff.....   Then the dates got released and it opened 2 weeks after we left sob sob.

We are such fans in my house (well me and my daughters) and are sooooo looking forward to the new season.  OOOhh what's going to happen I hear the weeping angels are at it again - they scare me!

Procrastination eventually pays off.

Prime are showing promos for programs coming after the Olympics. Dr Who S7 and Game of Thrones included. I scanned the latest skywatch magazine but couldn't find it. September maybe?

+1 for Sky 'forgettiing' to switch Prime HD (Channel 444) off after the Games. Or even better pushing Prime HD on to Freeview.

It's actually slightly cheaper from Amazon UK (even the delivery).   Remember also that their DVDs will be region 2 which will mean you either need a multizone player or to strip the region coding with special software.  Blurays from the UK are the same region as New Zealand so you can play those straight out of the box.

(So, um, maybe GZ should set up an Amazon UK affiliate account so we can support our favourite forum when making these recommendations eh?)

We were in a similar situation.  We were in Cardiff the day before they launched the Dr Who Experience, so we missed out on the Cybermen "attack" at Roald Dahl's Plass (Mermaid Quay - "home" to Torchwood), and the publicity at Cardiff Castle (where we had been 24 hours previously.  We had to make do with watching it on TV in Swindon.  Grrrr...

On a plus side, we got to see the Ianto Jones shrine at Mermaid Quay.  Brilliant!
