I'm calling BS on the above article since I can't imagine anyone (other than someone with some mental differences to the rest of the population of the world) would wait on hold so long!

Ditto.... Im sure their phone records wouldnt reflect that call either... maybe their battery went flat on the phone and they just thought they were on hold ?

Longest on hold was for was just over 3 hours. At this point the call disconnected. Guess who it was to .... Qantas!!! It was the night when they canceled their flights flights during the lockout last year so I can kind of understand why I didnt get through.
