I'm flying Wellington - Auckland at the end of the month and I see that Jetstar have the option of paying extra for a seat with more leg room. Has anyone paid extra or ended up in one of these seats before? They seem to be the exit row seats.

I'm curious as to whether the difference in leg room is actually noticeable, it would make a big difference to me as i'm just under 2 metres tall.

Not for a 35? min flight. Itll be over before you realise how cramped it is.

And yes, its the exit isle seats. But only any good for more than say a 4hrs trip (I'm 6'3)

Exit row seats offer a lot more leg room for such a short flight not worth paying for

if you are flying Jetstar dont be worried about leg space.... Be more worried about getting to Wellington on time or even on the same day you intended on arriving

Yeah I have considered the time and already was swayed towards staying in a normal seat. Was just curious as to the noticeable difference really.

And so far I've only had a good experience with Jet Star, 3 flights this weekend all on time. (Booked by me for others).

I'm similar size & enjoyed sitting in the regular seat on my jetstar flight, my shoulders were above the top of the seat and when I stretched back, the frame of the seat flexed. I was an isle seat, even more entertaining was having to pull my shoulder and knee in as the hostess/drink cart went past. The whole situation was quite entertaining.

quite true - the flight is way too short to be worried about a few inches of leg room. After numerous cancellations, late arrivals/departures and an insect incident with a roach, I have decided against them. Price has to be significantly cheaper for me to consider.
