(Mods: Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.. it is not really a "job" so I hope off topic is ok.)

This Is A Unique Opportunity For A Sizzling Hot
 Sound,Graphics and Lighting Dude!

SuperSystem is NZ's only U2 and Green Day tribute act and we're looking for a 5th band member!

This wiz kid will be our 'stage and production manager'. They'll love live sound engineering, graphics production, lighting engineering, they'll have an ear for stage choreography and also hopefully be able to play a bit of keyboard.

To fit this role you need:
  • To be a U2 and/or Green Day nut....if you like 1 you should love the other
  • To have a great ear for live sound
  • Have a great eye for setting up a "show"
  • Have ability with live sound mixing
  • To have an affinity with stage lighting
  • Have an affinity with computing/graphics software
  • Be able to play (at a minimum) very very basic keys
This is not a salaried role - you will be our 5th band member!! and you'll get all the rewards (and some of the risk) that the rest of the band does....it's an equal partnership. This project has been 7 years in the making - it's it coming together NOW and is about to SNOWBALL.

If you want to get in on the ground floor and grow with the band get in touch ASAP. The first date for our Auckland summer tour is 3rd November so ....ASAP!!

I had a listen to the audio clips on your website Skyplonk. Being a U2 and Green Day fan, I thought they were bl00dy good. I take my hat off to you guys for what you're doing, and wish you luck in finding the right sound & lighting engineer. I know someone in Aucks who could do it, but he is way too busy with too many other things already. There must be someone out there somewhere...

Keep Rocking and Good Luck!

Thanks for the feedback Grant! The recordings are live and from about 6 months ago so are even better now!

If you (or anyone) knows of someone (even keen just to find out more) let me know :)

Cheers!

Sorry skyplonk, off topic question.
Being a tribute band, just wondering what's the story with copyright, royalties etc.
I assume you can't get just get up and decide to play another band's songs on stage and charge people to come and see you do it.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?
