Not sure if someone has started a list, but I've read of a couple of signup issues for Wheedle (when the site is up of course).

Maybe if we collect them here, Wheedle devs can see them and resolve them?

Would contact them, but you need to be able to signin to do that! 8-)

So the first issue I found is that their algorithm for email address checking must be wrong.

With gmail, you can actually add "+someothertext" to the end of your address.
I do this frequently as an additional way of tracking where email (and particularly spam) may have come from.

So if your email address is bob@gmail.com, it's completely valid to put bob+wheedle@gmail.com.
But Wheedle signup rejects that address.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_address:
The local-part of the email address may use any of these ASCII characters RFC 5322 Section 3.2.3, RFC 6531 permits Unicode beyond the ASCII range:
Uppercase and lowercase English letters (a–z, A–Z) (ASCII: 65–90, 97–122)
Digits 0 to 9 (ASCII: 48–57)
Characters !#$%&'*+-/=?^_`{|}~ (ASCII: 33, 35–39, 42, 43, 45, 47, 61, 63, 94–96, 123–126)
Character . (dot, period, full stop) (ASCII: 46) provided that it is not the first or last character, and provided also that it does not appear two or more times consecutively (e.g. John..Doe@example.com is not allowed.).
Special characters are allowed with restrictions. They are:
Space and "(),:;<>@[\] (ASCII: 32, 34, 40, 41, 44, 58, 59, 60, 62, 64, 91–93)
The restrictions for special characters are that they must only be used when contained between quotation marks, and that 2 of them (the backslash \ and quotation mark " (ASCII: 32, 92, 34)) must also be preceded by a backslash \ (e.g. "\\\"").
Comments are allowed with parentheses at either end of the local part; e.g. "john.smith(comment)@example.com" and "(comment)john.smith@example.com" are both equivalent to "john.smith@example.com".
International characters above U+007F are permitted by RFC 6531, though mail systems may restrict which characters to use when assigning local parts.

not really a bug, but a recommendation

When you first log in after signing up, they default you to your area
I only had 1 item listed on the site last night until I found the option and turned it off, they would be better leaving it to 'All New Zealand' and people can change it as they need

I do hope they can knock trade me down a bit, higher fees = higher price for items so hopefully wheedle might have things for cheaper

I signed up.
Activation code to be sent.
No activation code.
whitelisted their address (wildcard), checked spam, nothing.

Resend activation.

After 3 attempts, still no activation code.

Can't find a ph number either, not even like TMs 0900 number.

So guess they don't want me to be part of them....

:-(

A lot of websites do that! Very annoying!

Same here, still waiting for that e-mail with the activation code...

I got my activation code but it says it is not valid when I enter it. Clicking on resend code link goes nowhere.
