Hey guys,
Was at the office today when we suddenly lost power. Came back a few seconds later but some really weird things are happening. Half the lights aren't working and some of the power sockets aren't working with some devices. Figured out that all the devices running have auto switching 120-240v power supplies. Put in a volt meter and its around 117-125v. LOL WTF?!

We are in a 10 story building and the Woosh generators have kicked in. Not sure if we have our own transformer that might be screwed on one of the phases?

Sounds like the voltage regulator somewhere back up the line has had a bad hair day, if your are still running on mains I suggest your turn off the electronics as this can cause problems.

Pretty sure that just means the feed has lost a phase.

if you've lost a phase then there is zero volts to neutral on that phase, not around 117v
