Do you know CanadaPost's delivery agent in NZ? Or how I could find out?

A package for me has been sent to the wrong address
CanadaPost won't accept a change of address and will return it to the sender in Canada!!!
Help please

Sorry I can't help but when my folks sent something from Calgary last year it came through courierpost but I don't recall if that was Canada Post or something else.

I think your best bet will be to go to the wrong address and state your case in the hope that they aren't douches and are happy to hold it for you. It's hard to think that any mail provider here would accept a change of address. I could see it being tricky proving it's for you without the owner of the wrong address agreeing that it's not for them...

They can track it using the Canada Post tracking number

Good news for you.Smile

But how did you convince Courierpost that the item was addressed wrongly and should be sent to you instead?

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

I knew what country it was coming from and the name and address it was going to
I had the tracking number
They already had several unsuccessful delivery attempts to my old address
I gave them my new home address which they have delivered packages in my name to previously
If they have access to historic mail redirection from when I moved that would further validate, otherwise there's the electoral role
It's pretty obvious I'm the guy ;)

Fyi all post stuff goes to nz post (courier post are part of nz post) so the original tracking number will work in nz posts tracking once it arrives in nz

Yep. You can track them on the NZ post site too. Most countries seem to use the same format tracking number ABxxxxxxxxxCO where AB are alpha, x is numbers and CO is the 2-letter code for the country.

When I get stuff from deal extreme with a traking number it's in the format with HK at the end. Have something on the way to my parents house now from Singapore with the suffix SG.

All traceable via the NZ post site, often before it lands in NZ
