For all you BSG fans out there, Blood and Chrome has officially been released!
http://www.engadget.com/2012/11/08/battlestar-galactica-blood-and-chrome-coming-any-way-you-want-it/

Episode 1: http://youtu.be/pT79x4qM4FE
Episode 2: http://youtu.be/jdisGiivP9c

You can watch it via the MachinimaPrime YouTube channel, for free!
It looks like they are releasing it cut up into smaller episodes, 2 episodes per week.

Be sure to spread the word so there's a better chance of more being made.

Also, I think this is an amazing move by SyFy to release it via a channel that pretty much everyone has access to at the same time. Not to mention, free to watch.

As a side note, I also watched the 'Forward Unto Dawn' Halo 4 series on the MachinimaPrime channel and was pleasantly surprised by it. A very watchable short series.
It looks like MachinimaPrime is doing some pretty innovative stuff.

So say we all!!

Thanks very much for that link. That was a very polished first episode. Took me right back into BSG.

I think it was originally produced as a full 97min mini-series in the same vein as the original (2004 re-imagined original) BSG series, so the production values are definitely well rounded.

Splitting it up into mini episodes was probably an after thought as a method to "just get it out there".

I, for one, am all for this method of delivery.
I'll more than likely buy the Blu-ray when it's released in Feb 2013 as well.

I've just started watching the 2nd episode and it is very low resolution compared to the first one. Did you notice that also?

Seems fine to me.

I'm watching it at 1080p. Do you have it set to play at 1080p?

Thanks!

Visual style is interesting. Hard out lens flare/bright backgrounds. Love that cheesy effect from previous versions where a scene starts out wide angle and zooms in with a bit of camera shake. I liked that shorter recent series where there was a lot of silence in the space fight scenes, rather than the sweeping sounds in this one.

Reminds me of that game series from back in the day too, wing commander.

Thanks for the heads up.

Really enjoyed both episodes. It seems to be a new way delivering content following on from Forward Unto Dawn - both with high production values for a web series.

Plus we get new sci-fi in NZ that is really lacking without a Sci-Fi channel!

Thanx for the updates.  I wonder if it has lots of YT views it will become a full series like Sanctuary did  which of course we never saw on NZ TV.
