Hi all
I want to register an account for selling some stuff with register company, however, just some small accessory which only price like $3 to $5.

Do I have to regiester a business membership for tax purpose? Any extra fee than personal membership?

Cheers

check this out
http://www.trademe.co.nz/help/718/member-services-category-policy

you will note that registering as a business will allow you some extra features i.e. offer services, however it does sound like you may be restricted in the types of listings.

Have you actually tried just trading and selling whatever it is you have to sell (of course complying with tax regulations which are no business to trademe at all).

Thanks for the answer.

Actually I have personal account, but however, I want to begin sell stuff under my register company cuz tax purpose, you know how strict the IRD is.

Or, Trademe's business membership is not like what I thinking. It's just for advt jobs, service, Real Estate and so on?

My understanding is that you need to be upfront in your auctions that you are a business and abide by all that comes with that e.g. CGA and FTA (if and when/where it applies).

When you sell goods then you are to of course provide a tax invoice/statement to the buyer and of course account for all your sales when filing both GST and Tax Returns.

From all I have seen between the business and personal memberships there is only a name different.

Trademe still insist on a first name last name entry, still use those names when emailing, which is totally stupid when it is a company with many people dealing with trademe sales.
