With only 7 days to go to 21 December 2012 before yet another end of the world, how are you planning to celebrate the day? This date has had probably more publicity than Harold Camping's failed predictions did.

The Mayans never said the world would end on that date however if you search for 21 December 2012 you see many believe it will with some even fleeing to a place of safety in the south of France.

Perhaps Geekzone users should all be awarded a special "I survived the end of the World" badge on 22 December.

Me - I've got a few cold ones in the fridge to celebrate with and then I'm looking forward to Christmas and New Year's with the family.

I'd like to flee "to a place of safety in the south of France". Never been there. Sounds really nice.

Don't forget the time zone difference between here and Mexico (-19 hours).

David.

Here's my favorite for 2012 - Nostradamus said:

"From the calm morning, the end will come. When of the dancing horse, the number of circles will be 9".

The North Korean name for Korea translates to "land of the morning calm". Psy's Gangnam Style video has 944,549,570 hits but when it gets 1,000,000,000 hits then it will have nine zeros! OMG!

OMG! The world will end when Psy's Gangnam Style video gets to one billion hits on YouTube. Please tell all your friends not to click this video. If no one in the world watches this video ever again then we will all be safe.

From wikipedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nostradamus

Today is Nostradamus's birthday. Or is it the 21st? And he was born south of france!

Quiet a coincidence that the end of the world is on the 21st December then LOL

I will be walking on an active volcano so odds are it could be a blast.

While there is forecast for rain and the Tongariro crossing is not fully open we are booked in and will do what we can. If she blows then it could be interesting.

No. You're getting the "end of the year" mixed up with the "end of the world". It's a common mistake.

since we hit the 21 of December first, can the rest of the world watch us in our death throws , i suppose we are to late to construct a huge finger to show the rest of the world we were defiant in our death.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

I/we are driving to Gisborne, does that count as the end of the world? Or is that the end of the earth?
