So..That time of the eyar again where we all make resolutions, stick with them for 1 week and then it all goes wrong. I tell myself everywhere Im going to stick to my resolutions no matter what, but every year I fail, but not next year!!

Anyway, what are your Resolutions? I have a few; Spend less time on the PC, get more work and have $10k in my account by the end of the year. $10k might not seem like a lot, but im 22 so it is a good starting point for me.

Anyway, what are yours? :)

Your goals are almost identical to mine.

10K for me is managable, especially if I'm not buying lunch everyday along with take-away dinners 3 times a week.  I want to spend less time on the PC even though most of my life is on it.
I'm also gaining weight like there is no tomorrow, so I think I'll buy a blender and start juicing for a few weeks and forge a new diet out of it too.  I need to get my health in shape, so I see that as a good start.

Need to catch up with old friends too!  That is an easy one to write off though :)

Blender aint going to help you lose weight ^^

unless it's at the top of 30 flights of steps & you have to put it away each time you use it ;-)

for me...

go 12 months w/o having an operation!

over the last 4/5 years I've had oral surgery for impacted wisdom teeth, a tonsillectomy, sinus & septoplasty surgery, vasectomy!!

I just want to be left alone by the dang surgeons!!

Plus, by the winning Lotto ticket (only play the real big draws, though)

About 10 years ago I made (and stuck with) a resolution to eat breakfast every day. It faded a couple years back but I want to reinstate that.

I'm also going to try and say yes to every opportunity that comes up. Specifically work related, but anything really. Job opportunities look pretty barren for graduate architects (no matter how much experience I have) and I'm going to need some things to do to keep myself entertained while I search out a new job.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

I'd like to say "work less and have something resembling a life outside of work".

Is it okay to make a resolution that you know you can't keep, or are you supposed to persevere for a least a week or two before you give up?

Buy a Segway instead of renting them all the time.

I achieved one of my last years resolutions, I stuck to my diet and exercise and am now 44kgs lighter.

Time to focus on a few other things, I want to get my bikes licence and my firearms license this new year as I never got them this year.

Also have a better savings plan and end up with savings would be a great achievable goal.

After many years I forced myself to eat breakfast. A week in and I couldn't believe the difference. Now if I am an hour out of bed with no breakfast I am a wreck. I have a guy at work and I wish I could get him to eat breakfast. His first meal of the day is 2pm! He isn't very sociable early on.
