Well i just recently finished coding my own Msn chat bot in perl, and you guys can test it out just add f4kebot@gmail.com.

Its not very complex and doesnt do anything amazing but its pretty cool can do some simple stuff for example

if you add the bot type in !geekzone and send it, you will get a reply with the 5 newest things on geekzone news.

Its not very stable it crashes sometimes, but just add it and check it out. If you find any bugs, spelling errors or anything like

that please send them to me at f4kebot@gmail.com

Thanks,

Dan

edit: This chat bot is for Msn Messenger.

edit2: This bot 'can' talk, say something and see what it replies....99% of the time it makes no sence it learns from what

users say to it.

edit3: oh and one last thing please if you have something to say please dont be like: "tis a suxors spleak is 1337"

constructive critisism please!

Added it to my list, let's see when it's back online. And thanks for using the Geekzone feed for your bot, that's cool...

Well just found some new interesting bugs, it seems that the way custom emoticons are

sent on older versions of msn messenger affect the way they are recieved in newer versions

my bot uses an older msn protocol, and while testing the bot on windows live messenger

the custom emoticons for the bot dont show up, il be working on it trying to fix the

emoticons issues.

Heres a small list of commands you can use with the bot, il be adding more soon:

!geekzone

!technews

!cpan

Many Thanks,

Dan

Hey, to use the bot you have to type in !menu. after you type in menu you will be able to

access all of the bots features i have just added a new command it is !tts type in !tts plus a

sentence and the bot will send you a link with the text you wrote converted into a .wav file

its pretty much text to voice on the bot. This is an example on how to use the command:

!tts hello how are you?

when you send that you will get a link back, with .wav file that speaks what you wrote down.

Currently the bot has no "brain" so you cant talk to it it will only reply, to simple things like

hello and goodbye. Im in the process of adding a new "brain"
